If Russia invaded us, I’d join them in a heartbeat. Russia doesn’t tax me. Russia does not imprison people for Facebook posts. Russia puts Russia first.
Have you been hacked by the Russians – or have you simply got an extra lucrative side job?
Which morons are actually questioning Russia's capabilities?
What a fabulous episode, blew me away. All the more so because Mr Felton doesn't usually do this sort of thing.
It does seem that Britain is poking the bear without sufficient, er, bear spray at hand to chase it away if it gets mad and takes a swipe.
One thing: as an Indian, I'd like to point out that the majority of British "aid" to this country isn't really "aid". As one report said, it serves "as a tool for UK foreign policy, diplomatic and trade objectives". We'd be happy to lose it.
Standing up to the Starmtroopers? Good show, Mark.
Such a pathetic on-the-teat nanny state Britain has become. God forbid you should expect to do anything for yourself and family.
The "cold war" and the "space race" were both psyops by the USSR and USSA. Nukes do not exist, neither does "space." Japan was firebombed like Dresden. The dated film footage of nukes and space are obvious fakes. "Space" and "nukes" are hoaxes. Why? For control, theft of money, to generate fear, and create the illusion of "indispensable" governments. Einstein and Oppenheimer were "less than truthful" and the Theory of Relativity was disproven by the Michelson Morley experiment. "History is a set of lies agreed upon." – Napoleon Bonaparte. In conclusion, expect to see no nukes, just large bombs in this staged upcominb "WW3." "We fought the wrong enemy" -Gen. George S. Patton. Painfully obvious today.

Although I agree with him entirely, I would prefer if Mark sticks to history tbh. I don’t come to this channel for politics
All NATO countries cut back millitary and count on other NATO members to cover there ass.. Its a dangerouse stupidt game they play.
Good explainer – thank you Mark. It needs to be noted that whilst we have a so called 'labour' gov, it is not in the slightest left wing, probably further right than the Conservatives. This highlights that it is the Brutish establishment that's the problem, not their chosen Gov – just like the US, the regime / establishment will always be in charge, never mind who the POTUS is. Like the US, we need regime change, our so called democracies are a sham.
That foreign aid budget is absurd especially when we can’t give a tiny fraction to vulnerable elderly or even have a decent air force
The fact that professor Felton has drawn attention to this subject I think is indicative of his deep concern for the dangerous defence predicament that our leaders have placed our British nation because of their reckless war mongering. He is to be commended for speaking out.
When your favourite WW2 story teller comes out of the closet as a Putin Propagandist……..
Mind you , Russia is probably nearly broke too. There soldier's are depleted as they need North Korean troops help.
Mark is only speaking truth to power.
The elephant in the room Dr Felton is, Russia would not use cruise missiles, they would use hypersonic missiles, which Britain has no defence cable of taking them down. I believe Russia has already displayed this, by using a hypersonic missile against the Ukrainian city of Dnipro on the 21st of November, in retaliation for Ukraine's use of western missiles fired into Russia.
Sorry mark. As an Australian who used to work closely with your MoD. Your political stance is unacceptable to me. Ukraine needs every dollar possible to defeat the Ruzzians. Australia has committed significantly on a per capita basis. Im unsubscribing after 10 years. Best of luck. Slava Ukraine.
We need to get all the old hooks out.
He's asking the wrong question – in fact he should be ANSWERING the right question: what would a nato counterattack on Russia look like?
I'm a huge Mark Felton fan. While I agree 100% that the UK is headed in the wrong direction, and that the many cuts in defense spending over the last several decades are major mistakes, this video omits the crucial overarching issue of the country's NATO membership.
If a Russian attack were to be launched against the UK, there would be an immediate invoking of Article 5 of NATO and open warfare between the alliance and Russia. While the initial barrage could be punishing, the combined forces of NATO would absolutely crush the Russians in any conventional conflict. We are seeing in Ukraine that Russia is having extreme difficulty making modest advances against a country with a much smaller population that is armed and supplied with intelligence by NATO. If you threw NATO, with the Americans, into it, Russia would face a humiliating defeat.
An interesting counterfactual in this war is to ponder what the conflict would look like without nuclear weapons. Simply put, without its nuclear umbrella, Russia either would never have invaded Ukraine or, if it did, it would have faced open warfare with NATO and substantial defeat on the battlefield with loss of territory.
At any rate, I feel for my dear friends in the United Kingdom. You have a beautiful culture and proud nation in which I received my college education and have visited many times since. I hope for better days for you all.
Labour the Party of London elites and out of touch Oxbridge students that don’t understand economics or real life experience.
From Russia with Love
I don’t believe anyone is suggesting that the UK declare war on anyone. However, if the UK were attacked by Russia Professor Felton takes no account of any joint defensive response by NATO. Probably the most pessimistic video that I have seen from this gentlemen. Such a pity.
The great migration no one is talking about in the states, millions of retired and fixed income people are leaving California, Illinois and New york. Going to states with lower taxes and more freedoms. Average 1 family home in Chicagoland is 10k$ yearly property taxes. Old folks can choose to eat and get medicine or live on the street. 200000 people have been leaving Chicagoland every year this past decade. I'm leaving to and I'm my 40s, it's 700$ just to get a new set of plates when you buy a car. I wish Ukraine well, but we need to get our house in order as well.
15 mins after an attack on UK, what would UK and NATO do to Russia? How dependable are Russia's defences? Perhaps you could do a piece on that.
putin has 101 different red lines, this one isn't gonna be it, and neither are the next few. you of all people should know historian, appeasement to dictators almost NEVER ends up well, for either party…
Ukraine should be grateful to Putin for not acting like the Israelis 🇮🇱 + NATO one's
I hope that can….
Britain is the laughing stock of the world now. Arresting the elderly for posting mean tweets, allowing the religion of 'peace' to takeover their country and constantly talking smack about Russia. It's ridiculous.
