I like both but, although Red is more competitive, I do like the blue base more thematically and because you have more hybrids as a whole to pick from. And the Magnas are a fun pair. Not to mention, Venusmon is a good backup level 6

I love the new Takuya and Koji tech! A really interesting way to keep Ancient Gar without needing a level 5.
And to answer your question, while the red base it more competitive, it feels wrong running the red base with the blue hybrid body, so I end up preferring to run that one.
More curious than anything, do you ever miss the BT17 Koji being at a higher count than 1? I feel like at least before BT18 dropped, it was an auto 4 of and I genuinely feel that if I didn't see it, I'd usually be losing lol. Does the new Takuya/Koji feel that much better?

I don't think you want to play the red Bokomon here. It can only grab red tamers (with inherited effects)
I have the cards for both builds, but tend to go Blue more often because I run 3 of the BT14 Gomamon to strip sources and have another unblockable body. Feels nice going Gomamon, then Promo Lobo and Ancient

What are your thoughts on replacing Gotsumon and Shamanmon with EX4 Agumon and BT18 Penguinmon? You can digivolve onto both of them if need be, both either gain you memory or reduce costs, and both have excellent inherited effects. You would lose the floodgates but increase the efficiency.
