Ukraine has fired UK-supplied Storm Shadow cruise missiles at targets within Russia for the first time, the BBC understands.
It comes just days after US-supplied longer-range Army Tactical Missile System (Atacms) missiles also struck targets inside Russia.
Former senior British officer and assault helicopter pilot Mikey Kay explains how these latest missiles will be used against Russia, and how they could change the military strategy in the Kursk region.

It is a game changer because Putin has been lying to Russia's citizens who are already asking Putin to end the war but they don't know the scale of the war or the number of Russians killed. Now Ukraine is bringing the war home and Putin can only threaten to use nukes again. He won't, because China has said no and China is a nuclear power and having a reason to nuke Moscow and simply take their land back in the far east of Russia which is about 1 million square miles.
Within the 1 million there is about 320 thousand square miles that has a large concentration of rare earth minerals. Less than Ukraine perhaps but Putin and his Oligarchs are cheap and they started the process of mining in the far east but Putin invaded Ukraine believing that would be simpler because they have more rare earth minerals in the area they are holding on to and convenient ports to ship the results of the mining not to mention enslaving the Ukrainian men and women to work in the mines for housing and food.
