I didn't see how you got the screens to come on. I have a blue 3DS XL that powers on, but the screens don't come on at all. Other than that congrats on getting it repaired!
The hinges are why I don't really repair the Game Boy Advance SP. I've done about 3 or 4 reshells, and each time the hinges give me so much trouble that I'd have to make a good amount back on the sale for me to touch that.
