Hello There! The DLC has finally arrived and it is time to see if we can survive. The Shakturi are a galaxy destroying race that wipes out anything in there path and we are going to try and stop them…
It has been some time since I played distant worlds 2 but I cannot pass up a chance to take on this new end game crisis in the game along with the other additions that come with the DLC we will be starting off a brand new game.
I intend to do a full game of this though in what format is to be decided regardless hopefully my fleets and soldiers are ready to hold back the tide of psychic attacks bio weapons and mutated monsters in the days to come 🙂

Fighters and Bombers depend on armor and shields to survive.

I'm sorry, but is the leader of the Baskaran faction a spider guy? They really are good at politics and espionage to get one of theirs as the leader of the race that took over their planet.
Using decades old fighters of course won’t be effective, it will be great if you also remember to retrofit defence fleets and not just looking at battle fleets.
