“It's PATHETIC!” | Mike Graham Reacts To Keir Starmer's Arrest Of People Smuggler

Talk’s Mike Graham is joined by writer, journalist and broadcaster Emma Woolf to discuss the news headlines making the rounds.

The Prime Minister announced the arrest of a suspected people smuggler. On the Emma says it “has taken him five months” to make an arrest on his ‘smash the gangs’ initiative.

The pair also speak about the investigation launched into journalist Allison Pearson for a tweet she had put out a year ago. Officers refused to disclose which post the investigation was about but said the post stirred ‘racial hatred’.

  1. Hasn't the national Crime Agency arrested Starmer yet?…..for BLATANT LIES TO THE PEOPLE?.
Countless interviews with him BEFORE he was "elected" of him saying he would "do this" or "not do that"—and an IMMEDIATE 180 DEGREE ABOUT TURN when he got in.
People elected Labour on promises made by them in their manifesto—-so it MUST SURELY be a criminal offence to do the OPPOSITE of what they were elected on.

What happens if you lie under oath in the UK?

he shall be guilty of a misdemeanour, and, on conviction thereof on indictment, shall be liable to penal servitude for a term not exceeding seven years or to imprisonment, with or without hard labour, for a term not exceeding two years, or to a fine or to both such penal servitude or imprisonment and fine.

What is malfeasance in the UK law?

The Crown Prosecution Service has determined that a crime is described as a Malfeasance when: a public officer acting as such. wilfully neglects to perform their duty and/or wilfully misconducts themself. to such a degree as to amount to an abuse of the public's trust in the officeholder.

What is the punishment for deception?

The legal consequences of deception can be civil or criminal and may include things like monetary fines, jail time, restitution, or community service. The severity of the punishment is usually proportionate to the extent of the harm caused by the deception.

  2. I shout 2 Tier, Starmer, thought it was a 'gimmick' that the Tories only had a dozen smugglers jailed for smuggling offences BUT here we have Mr Big arrested – job done then Starmer?
No how about publishing the numbers for this year arriving illegally and also the cost of the 90,000 amnesties plus of course their dependants who will be arriving shortly? I suspect a further Labour announcement about another 'Black Hole' as Labour didn't budget for this either!! Labour don't do detail, impact assessment, cost or forecasting hence the city and work markets reaction to the Labour budget – what a surprise? Not really when you're dealing with a goldfish mentality "O look a TV" repeating every time they perform a circle of the bowl!!!!!!!

  4. Women are already wary of the police, I have told my daughters to cross the street if they see one. A woman would be terrified having the police turn up at her doorstep, not knowing if they were going to arrest her or assault her.

  5. When is it going to be announced that the police are nothing to do with government & don't support or protect the public. They are working for a private corporation who's only purpose is to extort money from the public. Starmer sounds like a Dialek.
