‘Scandalous con job’: Shadow Energy Minister lashes out at Albanese and Bowen

Shadow Energy Minister Ted O’Brien has unleashed on the Albanese Labor government’s renewable energy focus during The Daily Telegraph’s Bradfield Oration for 2024 in Sydney.

“Anthony Albanese and Chris Bowen are engaging in one of the most scandalous con jobs ever attempted on the Australian people,” Mr O’Brien said during the event.

The event also played host to a major housing announcement designed to supercharge development in New South Wales.

  1. This building frenzy is all the result of a Labor Government bringing in 1.2 million migrants in 2 years. Australia was never set up to bring in masses of immigrants in such a short space of time. Federal Labor has used migration and a paltry $275 energy rebate to con Australians into believing the economy is going well. Stop immigration for 5 years and see what happens. Let housing and infrastructure catch up instead of the other wat round.

  2. Bowen must be the dopiest man in Canberra, signing Australian taxpayers into paying in to a fund to pay China $1.7 trillion a year to help them curb carbon emissions, as they say they are a developing nation. What is wrong with the people who voted this moronic imbecille in ?

  5. Haha, this Chris Minns will be Prime Minister one day just like that. Phantastik story, people will believe it again and again, while the continent has deindustrialised and removed sources of income to pay for a deposit or a house.

  6. There is no such thing as renewable energy. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. It can be transformed, of course, but wind and solar power are mis-labeled. They are intermittent, inefficient, relatively expensive forms of energy. Nuclear power, coal and gas are far more efficient.

  7. Why can we not hold these politicians to account and JAIL them for their financial , environmental and social treasonous destructive decisions they have done to this once great nation.
They are SO arrogant they think they have the right to tell the PUBLIC how to live and think.
The have FORGOTTEN they are elected by the PUBLIC to work for the PUBLIC and therefore the PUBLIC are their employer and as such the PUBLIC have the right and will to SACK them at the next election.
