When the video first flicked through the colour options I thought 'Ooooo, that Brazil one looked really nice'…and then I find out it's on sale. I need to maybe have a word with Mrs Santa and find out if I have been a good boy.

Not for me. I just don't like the look, but I do respect Marc for what he does and how he'd rather help someone above selling a watch (as I found out a few years back). Admirable.

I bought an Islander waffle gmt in his sale a few months ago and the quality is amazing. Mine has the NH34 but I don't care. The quality of the bracelet, the case , the dial is just superb. Highly recommend.

Idk.. I love the color, burgundy and brown.. kinda cool, I love the bracelet, I don't care for the movement.. the date and all that, not for me. Over a San Martin? No. I love .e some beads of rice though..

Love the guy and love what he is doing, but the islander logo… I just can’t get past it and buy one of his watches!
I just don't understand why watch brands insist on making endless variations of 24hr-diver-bezel / GMTs. How many people get regular use out of a GMT, let alone a third time zone? The most useful complication for most people, especially those rotating a small collection, is probably a power reserve. I don't need to know the time in two other countries ever, and if I did then there's plenty of watches like this to choose from already.
I mean… isn't this pretty much a Steeldive? At best Baltany/San Martin with mediocre bracelet. For $400-$600…
So I did pick up that green and yellow at the incredible price – and I had some rewards points to cash in as well – so I got one hell of a deal. It is everything you said it is. I will say that I found the bracelet to be a little light and the case to be a little top-heavy as a result, and my old eyes had a hard time fixing the hand precisely on a minute marker, given the use of the fractions of a minute markers. That said, for the money I paid, it is by far the best value for money watch since I bought an Erebus Origin 38.
Anything Islander is great. But that sure is a steal.

That is a banger of a watch. Love the dial styling.
My only complaint would be the indices. Swap those for applied markers and it would feel much more refined.

I have the blue model. Had it since it came out. Only issue; my fault, is the god awful minute marks. Not readable.
Guessing he is getting rid of inventory as a new GMT model is right around the corner. I think it looks like the republic, which is a nice looking watch.

There was something about the look of this that surprised me. The indices are a near match to a Seiko Recraft. Not a bad thing as it is a good watch. I think that what Mark gave you is the best looking of a very impressive line.

I’ve never been wowed by an Islander. They always seem like they’re made to a price. No real original design. Just built ok and design is meh. Price is generally good. But I just look at them and can’t imagine WANTING one. Like so many micros out there.
A garbage watch
Marc is great. Good price. Getting Jack Mason vibes, who offered this style and movement a year ago. I’ll stick with my Lorier Hyperion, however.
