Current vibe I'm hoping for from Wilds is that each locale has a dynamic between, generally, two apexes, one who excels at the Inclemency and the other who is better suited for the Plenty, and there's more variety to how weather or location can influence outcomes of conflict between them.
Like obviously Rey Dau is at its best in the Sandtide, able to handle the storm and power up, but during the Plenty, when Rathalos arrives to exploit the extra prey, he can oust Rey since clear skies gives him plenty of wing room while his opponent can't recharge adequately. But then Rathalos has to flee when the sand returns, as Rey Dau can handle flying in those conditions and reclaims the advantage.

20:33 Because your in an open lobby, other players can just join your hunt if they want. Because different hunts are on the same map, you don’t need an SOS flare to join hunts.

from what i've seen of meta hammer in the beta you wanna spam spinning bludgeon into the new charge attack and back into spinning bludgeon and repeat ad infinitum
I would love to see them react to this in the future and just laugh at how close Cotten is with some of his predictions. 😅

20:38 this also happened to me I didn’t use a sos yet a full party joined my hunt for ray dau ….first time I was use switch axe go knocked out then switched to hammer had the skull icon on it on the map but that one shot attack it has crazy range I dived to dodge it but it still got me and I failed it the quest the second time was the one I was fighting it alone and all of a sudden people joined we took it down but I want to solo it so the next day I tried again got 29min and 50 seconds and carted twice it keep flying away 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I've been a diehard dual blades main since World, so I was planning on doing a db/bow run for Wilds, but I completely fell in love with hammer during the beta. Difficult choices will need to be made
The reason why a random hunter was able to join is because the beta had squished as many players as possible into as few lobbies as possible, so lots of random strangers are walking around in the area and are thus able to join.
In the full game you're probably just going to be able to chill in private lobbies and not have that happen.
