The joint venture between Singapore Airways and the Tata Group will fold into Air India. The merger will mark the consolidation of the Tata’s aviation business but also has the potential to change the dynamics of the sector.

I think main problem is india is very cost effective market. Now vistara is a premium carrier of Tata group, so after merger two things could happen. Either ticket price of Air India will increase to give us that premium experience of vistara or Price will be same but premium experience will be downgraded. So don't know how will they manage. I personally never travelled via vistara as i am mainly a domestic traveller, but for me i always choose either Air india or Indigo. Now indigo offers value for money travel and almost capture the domestic market. Don't know how Air India will fight in domestic market with Indigo and in international market with international airlines. Hope Air India succeed. ❤

AirIndia express was never a Match for Indigo domestic travel. Hope Tata changes things. I would never fly AIX given an Indigo option and I think I will continue to do so.
