Any time something new is introduced the explain it like we don’t already know what the mean or what it is based off of common sense. We don’t need to know who created the device that lets them know the scores of the people in the illusion realm all we need to know is that’s what it does. how does me knowing who made it how strong he is and where he currently is helps the story. it’s not just that one scene when he was choosing a “hero” when the were talking about that woman that left some dude hanging on a telephone pole it’s like the author had a blue print for what he wanted and added filler just to make up a word count. It would be different if the info helped the story but I don’t see how going off on a rant about how much of a vixen someone is. Or how if dr Manhattan appeared in front of someone they’d die which is complete bs if I remember correctly. That man has appeared in front of people so many times and all those people are fine.
