I would agree that SBI is not waht is killing the games, but it being involved in the project is a very good indicator of what is underneath. So while it doesn't kill the game its the marker that points out that its a dead fish instead of a good one
The thing about having HR in the room. HR pretend to be the nice guys on the employees side. But they aren't. Broadly, they are beholden to those who are paying them. They do the unpleasant, back stabbing work that senior execs don't want to. Whatever trend is next, AAA games will jump on with no morals at all.
Well. I could not play that game. It is simplistic in all aspects. I got into logic problems with the story. I don't like art style. I loved first DA, but his has nothing to do with it.

But it has no influence on the rest of the game, what so ever, So IDK how you can compare Starfiled, which actualy can deliver some real good quests, with this mess? 😂

I think moat of the positive steam reviews are fake too. Theyre too similar
"actually shocking to have a major publication feed into right wing talking points" who does this person think plays video games? The overwhelming majority certainly are not on the left, so why should their opinions be the end all on what is appropriate in this space that they are heavily outnumbered in? The imagined moral high ground arguments are so old at this point, and hold no water when you look at what the left is consistently doing to everyone around them including those also on the left who just disagree on one thing or another.
Only thing I would like to comment on (which i rarely comment on anything) is on the point made roughly at 41:00. I don't hate or dislike people's opinions or communities they have built online. But one side of the community out number online communities about 2 to 1, particularly amongst males in communities talking about games. I appreciate others' opinions. I have played DAV all the way through and am on a second playthrough on a different class job. I am not the biggest fan of biowares writing in general. You can be critical about the writing of the game without appearing as you might be transphobic (to clarify, I'm not calling anyone transphobic but i can see why some ppl would have that perception about certain content creators that have spoken out about the game). The amount of time that topic is discussed in the game is very small compared to all the other parts of the game. I would double down on this with an example form FFXIV. I didn't care for the voice acting of a certain character in the new expansion. The problem that I see exists, is that those who were critical of that VA focused mainly on the fact that this person identified with the trans community, and a critique of the VA didn't need to bring up the fact of the person and how they identify. You can not like the voice acting and keep all the fluff out of it. I didn't even know the VA identified as trans until I started watching some of these bonker reviews that many solely just talked about the fact this person was trans. Again, just giving the perception to ppl like me that you might be transphobic. I don't believe that's how ppl want to be perceived so I am commenting to let you know that the idea of people's perception does matter. A real-life example, in the United States, is that the economy is bad. That is a perception, not an actual fact. That perception had consequences. The economy in the US is actually quite solid. I am a no party, centrist person who just plays games to enjoy them for the entertainment they are supposed to be.
