1987 Original Predator still the Best! 1987 Predator , Prey & 2010 Predators top Predator movies of the franchise!!
The guys face at 32:11 killed me.
Great intro
Such a shame this wasn’t in theaters, this movie is so ATMOSPHERIC
This movie is ok for me it was stuff in this movie that made it like a one and down for me. I really enjoyed her and the brother working together I still believe he should’ve lived
Aho. The Comanche people. Such a great film! Even better with the Comanche Dubbed version. Snd the Dog's name is Sarii (Comanche word for dog).
Naru totally earned her kill. She went one on one with Predator and came out on top. Arnold has nothing on her.
I love the Comanche dub of this movie. It's a bummer more reactors don't watch it that way but I'm glad you guys liked the movie! Definitely my favorite of the franchise.
As someone who did grow up with the franchise, Prey is my favourite of the franchise, then Predator 2, then the og Predator.
A super strong and highly technological species killed by a mere human with a stone axe and mud.
I love that your ranking of the movies basically relegates Predator 2 to dog shit status, because so many people stand behind it for no reason. Literally Danny Glover, who of course is incredible, is the only reason to appreciate it at all.
I'm sorry it's not a very good-written story. You made a story that would never happen and native american history. Not because of the predator but the fact you made a female that wanted to be a hunter and her brother didn't beat her ass and dragged her back home cause that is what he would have done. Not saying its right but that's thruth. Finally, grown men with weapons didn't stand a chance but little girl was. All her tribe would not being cheering for her, they would mourn her brother and the onther warriors. Then put right back to being a gatherer
SMALL thing, but this came out around second half of covid in July so probably got VOD for saftey.
We did that…humans mass killed Buffalo and left them like that. It was common for pelt traders, and I believe our military even mass slaughtered them to negatively affect the natives.
She found the lead hunters cigar by the buffalo's body.😊
just a reminder you can NOT survive on rabbit.
I understand what you’re saying about Predator being just a little below Prey as your favorite. Predator has a lot of that 80s style and dialogue that made those 80s movies awesome, but if you didn’t grow up with the franchise, the first movie won’t hold the same place for you. I saw the original in theaters, so it’s still #1 for me. However, Prey is a very close second.
With Prey they took their time, told a story and let us get invested into characters. They also wrote a strong female lead without making her a Mary Sue super badass that can’t be touched, etc. She took a lot of losses during the film and learned from them. She had help with weakening the Predator and used her wits and intelligence to outsmart it.
I was so pleasantly surprised, because I went into the movie not expecting much at all. I certainly didn’t expect to walk away afterwards with it being my second favorite Predator universe movie.
Great analysis, thank you! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
4:41 Remember no dog was actually hurt filming this movie. Also please don't call trappers lazy as it's a science.
Tara Eriksson are you of Swedish descent :)?
I think part of her arc was learning what her mom told her. She’s not hunting Feral just to prove herself, she’s realized she has to hunt him to survive (and to protect her people).
Think bro really forgot the state of the movie industry a couple of years ago. Movies delayed. A lot of good movies went straight to vod.
This was the best predator movie, but I loved the First one more because if not for the first one we would not had all the others?
Wait, where's Prometheus and Alien Covenant?
None of these predator films compare to the original film noway
Ok – the fact that you both didn't know that humans skinned all the buffalo tells me neither of you have seen Dances with Wolves. And that is crying shame. The movie is way too long for you to react to, so both of you need to go watch it. Like now. I'm 51 and have seen hundreds of movies and it is still my fav movie of all time.
3:44 Now that you've said that, she would be the perfect actress to play as Danielle Moonstar.
A great film for its use of old world with the Sci-Fi alien. I guess these two haven't seen 'Dances With Wolves' as that covered the white mans mass killing of Buffalo because of guns and the fur pelts trade, but the wasteful way they kill but do nothing with the animal for food like the Native Americans would, a single Buffalo could keep a family in food and all the other things like tendons etc for months.
The movie did well to cover the original films with the great writing and tie ins. I didn't see it a the theatre but thanks to Disney+ having it there.
Prey might be my favorite of the series.
If they ever decided to re release this in cinemas, I'd definitely go and see it! I loved it but it'd be great to watch it on the big screen with some friends.
Just so you know this movie takes place in 1700's the first predator hunts on earth were in 2000 BC in central america, basically they taught humans how to build things including pyramids, and they were worshipped as gods, they didn't hunt humans either, they would use humans as hosts for xenomorphs so they could hunt them.
There is the rare release version where it’s all dubbed in Cherokee and French with English subs and it makes the film so much more
Easily the best Predator film since the first and a lot of agree with you both. No big arguements from me. I still rate the original but this is a close second for sure.
It’s amazing that the latest films in the Alien and Predator series knocked it out of the park.
The practical predator suit is amazing
Lmao Aaron dozing off lol how Greg doesn't have a talk to him about it lol smh, not professional at all, (I get it you might respond with, professional? There's nothing professional about what we do) but still Greg what happens when Aaron fully falls asleeps and puts Tara in a compromised position smh
My one gripe about this movie is that Naaru's brother never fessed up to stealing her mountain lion kill. You can see as she falls from the tree, that her spear made contact with the lion's side. Bro finished it off and then took her home and went back for the head so he would look good. But he never confessed before he died that he covered it up and took the credit. It woluld have been nice for him to confess during the scene where they're tied to the tree together. I know he said she weakened it, but that's not enough taking responsibility, for me.
Yall So Cool. For this. ….
Alberta Canada beyotches! 😂😂
The thing with the first movie is that it was kind of a satire on 80's action cliches. That doesn't make it a lesser film, but it does lock it down into a certain context. This movie, in contrast, isn't reliant on anything other than itself.
