Inspiring, fair, retrospective & introspective. We still keep Romans 1 in perspective, but we can hope for redemption of all persons. Brilliant & drop dead gorgeous, beloved Professor Carol Miller Swain…
My wife and I love listening to her talks or her lectures we admired the struggle she went through when she was a University professor. But as a white person I'd like to add a little too the need of wisdom in our world. Doesn't matter if you're black or white you have to understand that every human being goes through financial moral emotional struggles. 80% of the white people living in North America Canada or United people would have to recognize that these white people came from continents where there was no slavery at all they have no idea what slavery is till they're spoken to here in North America. So when somebody is trying to make any cultural group any colour group of people to feel guilty. They need to look back and say were these people involved in that action in the past and if they weren't they should not be put in the same guilty group. It would be as if the Jewish people in Europe who were murdered and abused by Hitler. Then if you immigrated to Germany and Jewish people started blaming you also for those abuses because you lived in Germany. But you turn around and say yes but I'm not German doesn't matter you live in Germany you pay the consequences of its history that doesn't make sense. And I can tell you one thing I'm white and I sure didn't get white privilege my life has been tough all the way since childhood all three University and trying to find a job and build what I have today. I look back at University days I have friends from all different racial and colour groups and we all somehow turned out different even though we had the same education but some turn the right and some turn to the left and they got better opportunities than somebody else I have some black friends and I have some Indian friends and I have some Chinese friends that have become financially more secure than me they must have had white privilege. And somehow I missed out on the white privilege.
Suppressed?
