No way he would have been promoted to vice admiral in that amount of time. Especially without any independent command, galaxy changing victory or the permission the emperor. Thrawn would of been called into the admiralty board for over stepping his authority. He would have to face the emperor to make sure he was still loyal. Their would have been a lot of jealousy among the officers and assassination attempts to this new threat.

1:19:38 I agree, with a lot; this point of view. it just seems that from our point of view, in these stories, the Force is always throwing the living, curveballs, and the darker the curvier. This seems more logical, rational based. First of all, wouldn't Vader, having met his son and gained his confidence, their love blossoming, as father and son, so do their plans, their future seems bright, but, but the Dark side, and Anakin's attachments , as we've seen are deadly, and ruinous to his life, and those He loves. It's pretty much given that the more control one tries to assert over the Dark side, the less One has control over, or vision of the outcome. I don't think Anakin was planning on becoming an itchy half machine, hated and feared throughout the Galaxy. I don't think He had in mind what we see. Did you ever wonder what it was like standing next to him, and what He smelled like? I bet He smelled like human excrement, and machine oil, like an invalid, that no one comes to console. there is no living being caring over his wounds, and his vulnerable condition, but a machine….and One guy who is just using Him, and they each are totally aware of the situation.
If Vader was wise, which I believe He was, then He'd know to keep any body who possibly have an emotional hold over the relationship, away .
I know there is an immense amount of literature about the star wars universe. I have read next to nothing, Yet I love it all completely. Vader, Luke, and All of them, each, give us someone with whom we can relate, to compare, or just adore, despite how unseemly it seems. I relate to Vader, from the inside out. I think there are many many of us who do. I know I am not alone in this. I couldn't be. It's funny, but in the beginning, the rebels were the Heros of this story. Nowadays, less so. yet this too is true, from the beginning, Vader was always the Hero, tell me this isn't true. He is the Hero, who Learns
Luke would only have joined the emperial fleet, to get the training. He hated the empire. Soon after his graduation, he would have defected to the rebels, as his friend Biggs did.
Why in every Star Wars video with vader they have to bring up Ashoka and her crew they are not cannon if it’s about Luke joining the academy forget Ashoka and her friends this should be separate from her and the tv show
Love that Luke doesn’t become a Acolyte and remains a part of the Empire as a mastermind. It’s often forgotten that the Skywalker’s are brilliant and cunning.
Really love how the Empire is in a decent or better place with no Sith or Jedi to threaten it. One of the best timelines for the Empire.
The Empire could’ve lasted longer with Palpatine and Tarkin and their followers.
Love your story. But I do have one gripe. Dagobah did not radiate in the lightside of the force. It radiated with the DARK side of the force.
That is why Yoda went there to cloak himself from the Empire and its agents. It radiated so strongly with the dark side of the force that (I believe it was a dark side nexus.)
That is why Luke in the original trilogy had an easier rime of resisting the Dark side after his training with Master Yoda because he was already used to focusing on the light.

One issue with this episode. It doesn’t really make sense that Palpatine would just drop the Death Star plans especially since I’m pretty sure building the DS was always a plan of Palpatine since even before the CWs.
He isn’t going to drop the plans Willy nilly especially not because of some new 18 year old boy said that he could stick it into a Star Destroyer lol.

Anyone else been super confused by Imperial officer ranks having Commander above Captain? Even wookiepedia gets it wrong but it's described pretty clearly in the first Disney era Thrawn book.
What if order 66 never happened?
I'm sorry what. Leia killed Darth Vader that easily!? Not even Jedi Master Luke was able to take him out without a struggle. and even then Vader threw the fight. I liked most of the story up until the ending. Darth freggin Vader would have won that fight against Leia no question.
Does anyone remember what happened to Obi-Wan after he got his leg cut by Duku? He fell to the floor and couldn't fight anymore. Leia's injury sounded a lost worse than a little scratch, she would have lost.
