Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 – 15 Things You ABSOLUTELY NEED TO KNOW Before You Buy

At one point in time, Microsoft’s Flight Simulator was just Flight Simulator, and it was the premiere flight simulator. While it went into dormancy for a time, the franchise made a huge comeback with Microsoft Flight Simulator in 2020. The sequel is finally upon us with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which is bigger and hopefully better in every single way.

Whether it’s the sheer increase in size and attention to detail, the ability to walk outside and explore 27 different biomes, over 120 available aircraft, new systems, a Flight Planner, and a new Career Mode, there is a mind-boggling amount of stuff to do in Flight Sim 2024. That’s not even including the Challenge League or World Photographer modes.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 launches on November 19th for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Here’s what you should know about it, including the hardware required to achieve “ideal specs” on PC.

  1. I bought this sim a month ago (pre-order) and I can't wait till the 19th. I am going on a 'bucket list' 5 day cross-Canada train trip next week and get home the day it's launched – I'm more excited about the game than the trip! LOL

  2. This is going to be a pile s**t that you will instantly regret pre-ordering, yes granted it’s one of the few flight simulators left, but it is now trying to become more of a game because it’s now being released on consoles as well, Microsoft flight simulator was never about a story mode, weekly or monthly challenge getting out your plane to take pictures or any of the other stuff there adding to since it was announced for the XBOX series X/S.

  3. I'm not worried about buying it. I'm worried about downloading it and then streaming all the data in. I have data caps and I'm now hitting that ceiling almost every month! Unlimited data is an extra 50 bucks on top of the 120/month I pay already. I cant switch either because there is no alternative!

  4. I hope while in game i can drag and drop my AC any where on the map like xplane 11, really handy for practicing shooting ILS or RNavs over and over again without having to flying a circuit

  5. The only thing you ABSOLUTELY NEED TO KNOW is that gamingbolt is a mostly click-bait channel w/garbage content. Little to no due diligence is done before a video is posted. On top of this, many of the "staff" have been caught making racist comments on social media & in videos. Thankfully, most modern browsers now have add-ons which block channels like this from getting clicks/views/ad-revenue & positive engagement.

  7. Even though I own a PS5, it warms my soul that Sony fans aren’t getting this one. 😂

And it’ll stay that way, because due to its code it is nearly impossible to port. It’s also the oldest Microsoft software franchise, it’s even older than Microsoft office.

  8. MB = Megabytes
    Mb= Megabits
MB is the actual one things go by such as 1,000 MB = 1 Gigabyte aka 1 Gig.
Mb = has bigger number to fool people by.
Download speed….. if it says Mb and not MB and it's at 300Mb divide by 8 to get the actual MB of it.

  9. Does anyone know if 2024 will let you access your friends list on Steam and Xbox if you purchase it on the Microsoft store? Or will these two friends lists be separated by the platform your playing on.

  10. I want better VR, better environmental effects as you can land near trees and they don't even move with a helicopter. Already got my 64 GB of 6400 RAM and a 9800X3D. Game pass is an absolute joke as you always buy your games outright.

  11. Recommend to only buy through Steam. Last time xbox store ripped me off for the Premium version, never installed, support did nothing, had to pay for another copy through Steam which installed flawlessly. Had every MSFS since the 80s, Xbox store was the most miserable experience of all. Never again.

  12. nice vid… I was playing MSFS2020 using Gamepass with 11 years-old laptop…my specs are like that: CPU: Intel Core-i7 4710HQ 2.50GHz, RAM: 16 GB, GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M ( 2GB VRAM), STORAGE: 512 GB 2,5' SATA SSD, 1 TB HDD…with this specs, I was playing MSFS 2020 with Medium settings… my laptop can also run MSFS 20204 again with medium specs… I don't need to push the limits and I don't have any intentions about it… even I had Cuting Edge laptop, I wouldn't want to push the limits…

  13. The PC hardware requirements are a pile of crap. You do not need all that memory listed in the ideal spec. A bunch of headroom was added so that you can run a BUNCH of other applications at the same time. And the cpu selection is not based in pc game reality. No where to be found is a listing for the 5800X3D or the 7800X3D, which are much better performers for games.
