I spent all my YouTube money

Making progress on completing my current gen GPU collection for head-to-head reviews I bought an RTX 3070 Ti Founders Edition and an RX 6800 Red Dragon since they were the two least expensive models available when I was purchasing them. So lets talk about these two GPUs, their nearest price and performance competitors, unbox them, and look at their performance and cooling.

  1. People are obsessed with buying brand new cards that's why second hand market is such an opportunity for some of us to get amazing deals! I got a xfx rx 6900xt merc black for $560! The card is so good and in such a good condition it was clean and the thermals are shockingly good

  2. My XFX merc319 rx6750xt, in 1440p ultra (no RT), it's delivering: 70avg, 45min, 139max.

I consider this as a big win cause in EU right now: my card selling new from amazon at 580€ (i paid 599€ 2 months ago), the qick rx6700xt it's 530€, the rtx3070 (the card i wanted) selling for 650€ in the used warehouse deals but only custom 2 fans ugly cards, and used 3070ti are 700€. The cheapest rx6800 (xfx swft319) was 750€ 2 months ago now 660€.

Despite all the hate to the 6750xt it's a really good card, i don't use RT cause it makes metal materials looks horrible and tanks fps.

Edit: Now i can wait for rx9700xt/rtx6070 while playing raster3D 1440p@144hz all maxed out 🙂

  3. Ebay prices of the Radeon cards are really good right now. Managed to snag a Sapphire 6800 for $470 and for that price it blows anything nvidia offers out of the water.

  4. It comforts me to see the new sapphire red dragon 6800 i got on ebay at $500 came with the same limited packaging yours did. Yes that sapphire card has amazing cooling capacity and by default it holds 40% fan from 60-100 degrees. The trade off being i had to modify my (ancient) case to fit a 310mm card.

  5. I made a mistake in getting a 3080 Ti founders edition. It performs fine but it runs warmer than other versions. It was the only one available last year at MSRP. I’ll never get another founders edition and be more patient. Lesson learned.

  6. I try to LIKE and COMMENT on all these videos because I got an RX 6800 (only $600) partly in due to his videos. I almost bought a 3060 and am so GLAD I found this guy's channel which gave me an AMD opinion. Plus AMD has a lot of features to match nvidia (not all but they're working on it HELLA FAST) but yeah great job Daniel!

Everyone like and comment! This dude deserves it!

  7. The thing that impresses me the most about the RX 6800 non-XT is its performance per watt level. Its basically the most efficient card in this category from this generation. It consumes around the same power as a 3060ti while it is between the 3070ti and 3080 in terms of performance.

  8. my 6800 non xt is at microcenter being tested atm becasue I've been having issues with it. White flashing on several monitors in several systems, and in recordings the flashing is actually green.
I told the very kind gent that I was experiencing artifacting but I realize I probably lead him down the wrong rabbit hole. Who has suggestions on what to research?

  9. If AMD had managed to get raytracing up to the levels that Nvidia did this generation I'm fairly sure there would be no contest! I'm excited to see what happens this year, they really aren't messing around.
