Got my second DIY bull in three years last month and can appreciate how much work it is to pack the quarters out!
My first bull was on the Koyukuk and my wife asked if I needed a new gun. I told her I needed a new jet boat and took her and my son 530 miles down the Yukon and up the Koyukuk to get my first moose. Another 530 miles to get back out and what an adventure!
This year my moose was in the Delta Junction area and thankfully I had two of my sons there to help me pack the bull back to camp. Awesome hunt Kara, I've never seen anyone eject a shell and get ready for a follow shot as fast as you did!
Great video- but never hang a moose in your camp- you might get lucky once but eventually you will have to kill a grizz.
She needs to have that moose mounted those antlers are cool looking, very unique!!!
I get wanting to be tough and show you can do it but when you are on day 1 of a hunt the last thing you want is an injury especially a back one if you have help available id use it, not worth the risk of injury. Hope yall never have to experience that lesson the hard way. Other than that great hunt enjoyed as always.
What rifle cover was she using? I’ve been looking for one that fits over a suppressor, and haven’t found one yet.
