Playing the beta, I think it looks and plays amazingly. The new focus mode and hit effects are super satisfying (especially as a hammer main). That being said, there are a few minor graphical flaws and frame rate issues.. as there is to be expected with a beta of course. I'm sure they will be fixed in the final product. It is a beautiful game and I'm looking forward to February.

Ok i someone level with me here. What isbthe point of an arachnophobia option? Stuff like color blind sure i get that, but arachnophobi? If spider truly make you that frightened then maybe you shouldn't play a game called "Monster Hunter" and should be in therapy to get over such extreme phibia.

I haven’t been able to find it anywhere but do we get tactical breaks in wilds like we did world? Still getting poisoned from a rathians tail attack after she didn’t have a tail anymore wasn’t the best experience in rise.
So, Hollow's Cat is named Dog, his Dog was named Cat, if he could name his Seikret, which is closer to a bird, would he call it Fish?
weapon controls would have been so nice for chargeblade in MHW haha

Tho i'm playing MH3rd on my PSP those days, didnt log in world since a while
They had already sold me with the idea of the game just being an upgraded version of World. But the character creator being so in depth is just the perfect icing on the cake. I can spend hours alone on the creation screen before actually hopping into the game itself.
What I really loved was I got into monster hunter world several months ago and I had all the content available to me except the rotating stuff, so I could grind away. I hope they don't make this game like when world first came out and have to catch events etc to get stuff done. That will suck!
I found a campsite in the caverns. U can also grab items with slinger while swimming underwater. Fishing feels almost the same at world but u gotta lure the fish more then letting it sit for a fish to grab. Some are shy and skittish but others will only go after a lure after moving the lure.
Bleeding pods are great to hit weak points. U can find bleed pods on the little alligator monsters by the streams in middle of windward plains

Is it just me or does this map feel smaller than I was kind of expecting? I thought it would be maybe 20% bigger than it is if not more and with a lot more hidden areas. It was always one of my favorite things in world to explore the maps and find the hidden caves and stuff like that with just animals in them and gathering places that are too small for monsters to go into. It might just be how fast you can get around on the mount but I feel like the ancient forest map in world is bigger than this by a good margin and I was hoping every map would be bigger than anything in world. Lastly this map is very flat with only one small underground area 🤷 but I still very much love this demo and can’t wait for the full game

For fast hunt usually I get 2 parashoroom and 2 sleeping erba to make tranquil bomb to capture monsters
You can't change face shape or features shape in the tent. Just colors and hair styles and makeup. Which has been an option in both World and Rise.
To change up your character's facial structure, nose, eye shape, moutch shape etc. You need to choose edit character from the character select menu. You'll have unlimited character vouchers for the beta in order to do so.
SO if we use the arachnophobia setting will Lala Barina have a whole Giant Blob fight?!?! Because I might run it just for the experience lolol
The map is a huge W. Similar to the Borderlands 3 map
I just started up the pc beta and it’s so unoptimized, my computer didn’t load chatacabra as more than a few polygons , and the background of the windward plains looked horrendous, they really need to work on that before release

Idk what it is but Rey Dau movement felt familiar and using the Long Sword (oh it's fun!) I was dancing around Rey during their attacks.
Me and my two bros immediately fought ray the moment he showed up, even though we all got disconnected we each individually killed him without feinting, what a cinematic fight
So is there no actual kitchen with big animations of cats cooking anymore in the camp?
Also very curious, is story related hunts still gonna be horrible with multiplayer like in world with the whole cutscenes in sp then leave hunt and start again to enter with friends, because that is really a big mood killer?

What’s got me nervous about the game is the idea of not being able to hunt monster tracks I loved that part of the game lol but it’s the best so far the beta.
Why don't they make Hunter Armor out of whatever they make those dummy barrels out of?
What happens to the monster drops? do you keep them in the real release or are they gone? and can you do something with them at the moment?
Everything runs fine until 100 players load in Base Camp. 12fps!!!

This is day one buy for me. I expect the full game to be tougher, but bring it on. Good game hunters.

Do you keep the materials you got as quest rewards for the full game, if you import the Charakter from the beta?
Forgot to mention that tents can be destroyed but many have been set up for you.

I would say miss out on the beta. Optimization is dog water.
I mean 4 monsters and that's it…i would really loved an actual beta and not a demo
