It was an interesting progression in this story until it went stupid at 35:15 ish. No more secrets, no more holding back, you'll know all our tech? Yep, utopian drivel. Too bad, it could have ended well.
Why does every one of these stories have to end with humans suffering an attack of the dumb? Seriously! We would NEVER behave like that! That would be stupidity of an INSANE degree!
And for the love of god, enough with the “humans are masters of deceit and everything is actually weapon” shtick, it’s gotten old and tiresome, and it just kills any tension there might be by screaming “the humans are going to win”. Kind of ruins things.

Look up the Roman use of the word decimate. In Rome it meant 1 out of 10. Tell them that the council gets to pick who, but only has a set period of time to pick. If they don't, it will be more than 1 out of 10. Let them turn on each other.
