To stress Cotton doesn't get forced to do anything, he's an adult human, he wants to have the first pure experience in the full game in the full Pro and Noob series both for his and your guys maximum enjoyment so this mini Pro and Blind Noob beta series is a lovely middleground for you all to have fun with, I personally can't wait to do all this again but this time able to talk to him about everything we're doing and seeing!
5:00 at least we have the wyverian ears layered armor until that becomes an option! But I think there is a lore reason iirc, something about wyverian hunters being incredibly rare because they’re just better suited to being scholars and authority figures with their long natural lifespans
Josh got the wrong hairstyle, the one hairstyle his character had in world was in the character creator too
Luckily the beta lets you continue to customize your hunter and palico until the game officially drops!
Maybe I shouldn't be watching this at work, because now I'm just sitting here wanting to go home and play more of Wilds and try out some more of the weapons I haven't yet…
To Cotton: Will we be seeing some specialized bow builds for the new features? As well as the return of ranged great sword?

Of course he has. He's going to pick the one weapon he can play competently. They should give the viewers more variety by banning Josh from using a greatsword for the first kill of every monster.
He could unlock the greatsword for use against a monster by killing it without carting. That'll force him to learn how to play something else for a change.
Sorry if this is a common question, but watching this made me wonder why Josh always has Aylia have red eyes and also is super pale? Is she like a vampire hunter, haha

If anything you could have used zeros for Poof name i use maj "i" since more recent monster hunter games wouldn't let me use my own name MaYbe cuz i got kill in there and we're in a game where we Kill monsters

Edit: I’d wager “poof” is censored as it’s an old British slang term for a male homosexual… That being said, while it is a slang term, it never struck me as a particularly derogatory term. For instance, Monty Python’s Graham Chapman often described himself as a “poof.”
Edit 2: considering the phrase “if it bleeds, we can kill it” comes from the movie Predator, it made me think that it’s pretty weird that we’ve never had a monster that doesn’t have red blood. Not even any of the crab or bug like monsters have different colored blood. In fact, I don’t think ANY arthropods have red blood irl, as they don’t possess hemoglobin. They instead have Hemolymph, tho some, such as Horseshoe Crabs have Hemocyanin (which is suspended in Hemolymph, which is what adds that pastel tone to their “blood” when mixed with the hemocyanin), which has a distinctive pastel cyan color due to the presence of copper compounds instead of the iron that makes hemoglobin red.
Anyhoo, monsters like Astalos should 100% have green glowing blood like the Predator instead of boring old, normal red blood.
