Unknown 9 Awakening FLOPPING HARD. Bandai is already FIRING employees & CANCELING other games

We knew that the presales numbers for this game were awful, but apparently things are so bad for this game that Bandai Namco is already reportedly pushing employees out of the company and canceling other games. This may go down as one of the worst flops in a year full of horrible flops.

  1. The people who gave the "go ahead" to a game that cost a ton to develop and lacks an audience should also be fired. I have a hard time believing that they couldn't do some market research in advance.

  2. They don't deserve severence, they already got paid too much for the garbage they produced to market. Severance while it helps and as much as i hate corporations i dont think anyone who worked on unknown 9 deserves severence if anything they should owe bandai namco money on their way out for what they delivered

  3. Its a shame really

Suicide Squad really had potential. The season passes where they're saving the Justice League are the only saving grace even if the new characters are lame, because this way maybe Rocksteady can do Arkham Beyond with either Troy Baker or Bruce Greenwood as Bruce Wayne and maybe get Will Friedle, Sherman Howard and Lauren Tom back 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

  4. How long until companies stop being afraid of SBI’s threats? How long so we have to go through a game drought?

Companies can only go so long selling duds before they tell sbi to pound rocks… right? They won’t just close up shop and go bankrupt rather than making good games again… right?

  5. Natural selection in the business world is a brutal and savage as in nature. At least the Japanese will course correct to survive unlike western Devs and movie studios that will go bankrupt with the insanity of blaming the audience and everyone else to the grave rather than admit they're wrong even when It's an objective fact. Bad business deserves to fail to make way for something that will not.

  6. About the "doing nothing" rooms that makes workers want to quit…

There is another article I found from a Japanese-fluent news site regarding these rooms. It has something to do about a strict Japanese labor law that might constitute a problem from conventionally sacking employees. So these "do nothing" rooms were apparently made just to bypass that law — the same room which you mentioned it in this video.
