  1. Seeing "0451" pop up all over the place is also nice. Glad that the new generation gets to see the origin with the game's remake. (It also transcends gaming, as it was the code to unlock the door to the studio headquarters in Cambridge.)

  2. No Adventure was the first Easter Egg. Moon Lander came out in 1973, same year as pong. It wasn't even an arcade machine until 1979. The programer of Adventure was pissed he wasn't going to get credit for writing the game so he hid himself in the game. That was the first time anyone called it an Easter Egg and that IS the first Easter Egg. Sorry nerds. I refuse to accept that alternative theory.

  3. Fisher-Price programmed the Konami Code into their baby video game controller. My lil' was delightfully surprised at the cascading light show and FF-esque victory tune that played once I helped her punch in the code. 😁
