To be clear, currently our military is more at the service of politicians and profit margins than the safety of the American people. Until that changes, the military does not deserve the devotion of any soldier.
Men don't want to be women because we already have that group… And we're doing just fine.. there is no such thing as masculine toxicity.. if women can't handle their men folk that's their problem… I handled mine just fine and he was a monster to control but I learned how to subdue the mighty warrior while still allowing him his dignity ❤ figure it out ladies..

Tim you have no idea what state our military is in. I have lived in Fayetteville NC for 57 years. My father was stationed at Fort Bragg in 1966. He retired and worked for the local sheriff’s department where I now work. My wife is a nurse practitioner in the ER at Womack army hospital. So she deals with the soldiers who attempt and threaten suicide. As well as toe tagging the successful suicides. Once the IVC order is completed at Womack my agency transports the soldier to a mental facility. We have had as many as ten to transport in a DAY!! This is insane no pun intended.

I watch Full Metal Jacket with my 17 old son a couple days ago and it was a wonderful experience to share one of my favorite movies with my boy. He really liked it and it makes me really happy!
I joined the Army in 2022 months after 9/11 and days after my 17th birthday. And fought in Iraq in 2003-2004. From what I understand, my basic training unit in Fort Knox was the last male only unit, and last unit to qualify with bayonet. The Afghan war had started and our drill instructors were very honest and very hostile. They told us we were going to war and to train like our lives depended on it, because soon it would. My ex-wife later joined in 2007 and by then everything went soft, and fat and gay.

I agree, but anything after world war II. You enlisted For Congress. You fought for Congress. And you fought to make Congress to be richer than they are. You did not fight for America you fought for Congress. You didn't fight for freedom. You fought for Congress. You did not fight for me or my family. You fought for Congress. And I can stand and fight for my own freedom. I don't need a military that fights for Congress.

Even back in the early 80's in the Corps, it sucked having woman added to the ranks for various & obvious reasons.
& 'yes,' gays too were around.
As time went on, the military lost thousands with the reduction that never seemed to stop during the upcoming decades.
Yet, the numbers of woman didn't & were instead increased.
It didn't take them long to be at war w/the men with their petty attitudes & dishing out the shit.
'Now', with the co-ed crap & woke on top of it – beginning with Boot Camp, it's not even worth the experience.

At age 17 in 1969 I had no idea what had been on Sundays in Marine training, comonly called boot camp, I was the last recruit to catch hell from this nut bag. He had me in the duty hut pounding me in the stomach driving me two or three steps back with each punch. I had a hard time coming to the decision to punch this nitwit sargeant but I couldn't take it again. I called it self defence but I knew the Marines would call it aggression. Point number 1),,,,, I went to Army Basic Training in Ft Leonard Wood MO, in 1979. The drill instructors were tough, but not mean as in FMJ. We had night maneuvers, with a lot of simulated battle conditions. But one person freaked out, and they had to carry him off. Basic Training needs to be tough, because it would be worse to have those who freak out in battle, than risk having fewer soldiers out there, because 1 person could put all the rest at risk. Point number 2) Gen "Stormin'" Norman Schwartzcoff said it best,,,, the military is NOT the place for social experiments.
My dad was a marine and said FMJ was as close to realistic for his time as a movie could be.
The real problem isn't the recruitment ads. The real problem is all of the useless leadership. It was a problem 10 years ago when I retired and it has only gotten much worse since then. They need to purge upper leadership if we have any chance to really improve things.

I went through boot camp in 1993 and it was effing HARD. And it forged us like nothing else could outside of war itself. And this has served me throughout my entire life, even as a civilian firefighter medic, farm wife, mother…
