On October 1, Iran launched nearly 200 Ballistic Missiles at Israel in retaliation to Israel bombing Lebanon’s Beirut where Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah was killed. Iran has been a staunch supporter and backer of Hezbollah and the Lebanon-based group is considered a proxy of Tehran. After Nasrallah’s killing, Iran vowed to hit Israel. Iranian missiles hit Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem, Tel Nof Air base and Nevatim Airbase where the F-35 jets are based. Iran used its Shahed drone, Emad and Khorramshahr missiles in the strikes. However, Israel has vowed to retaliate and strike Iran with a surprise which could include airstrikes on oil facilities, and nuclear projects. With thousands of missiles and drones at Iran’s disposal, how long can Israel and the United States protect themselves?
