The #KiaSportage is the longest running nameplate in the Kia lineup and for 2023, the completely redesigned #Sportage is now larger, more powerful, and more spacious in its 5th generation. For the first-time ever, Kia is also offering a #SportageHybrid with up to 43 MPG combined for the base trim level. The exterior design shows off their new opposites united design philosophy and the interior has enough tech on it to make you seriously reconsider buying a luxury branded car.

Thanks for having me Sofyan! This was tons of fun!!
Looking at other hybrid kia and hyundai real world mpg. This will most likely only get 32 mpg average. They usually never do epa numbers
Great review, but I'm wondering if you were late for an appointment when you did it.
Man, can't wait for the phev
The interior look sexy ASF! KIA is doing a great job in this department 👏
Thank you so much for this review. Please what color is on the car exterior?
I bought this exact model! Love it!
Great video, but if I buy this and it only gets 30 mpg, my wife will be pretty irritated! We owned a Camry Hybrid and always got 38-42 mpg's.
i like the new exterior
@8:23 did he really just say gyp?! I thought we all knew the origin of that and stopped saying it…guess not everyone
YouTube car reviewers are almost always so out of touch with who really buys cars nowadays. Literally nobody except car heads care about the power and their Kia, Hyundai, Toyota, Honda etc. As long as it goes on the interstate nobody cares about 0 to 60 times in these sort of cars.
Ask Tommy if it will go up the Ike gauntlet without struggling too much.
Does kia/hyundai still have engine problems that will cause it to go up in flames?

Kia has come a long way from having ugly and cheap looking vehicles, the new Sportage looks awesome!
Agree with Tommy that the paint doesn’t match a car in this price point. The paint won’t be properly cared for. Most will go through car washes and get destroyed. Looks great brand new but unless you’re committed to hand washing regularly with the correct products. Or getting your sub 40k vehicle covered with paint protection film, it won’t last.
Seats are not red, they are orange
Ya know there are Americans that are looking for a small suv… not just some 2 ton monster… I have diesel trucks for that. To me it looks like they are copying Toyota. That key fob looks enormous!
shadow matte gray*
aren't they calling these things "turbo"? why is it slow lol
What is the recommended octane, taking into account the turbo charged engine? Seems to be some unclear information about this.
no wireless carplay in the premium models?? That would be idiotic if so
I put a deposit down last weekend on the Vesta Blue Hybrid SX Prestige with the Black Saturn interior in Texas. Will see if I ever get it or have to change exterior colors. Great video!
Is this better than the rav4?
Call me crazy but very nice looking car and that paint is beautiful 😍!
Basically between this and the crv
Does EX hybrid non-premium package have ambient lighting?
The fuel economy just a joke. I got my Hybrid EX a months ago and it suppose to be 38/38/38 mpg. But in reality 32 mpg in city. Not even close to 38
For the hybrid, do you still need to plug in to charge or it will charge by itself when you use gas?
Major issue of gas version is mpg of awd , on highway it drops a huge 4 miles comparing to fwd. Previous model had another major con: cabin sounded like freight train on highway, and I was reading some reviews saying the same about this one.
I like the styling more than Sofyan does. His references are conservative, and I'm an OLD dude. Yeah, some Kia's (and Hyundai's) may be overreaching but I think this one will age fine.
Been shopping for a Hybrid for about 3 months. Test drove this one HEV (SX PRESTIGE). Was a no brainer. Fully loaded (had to add the towing package) Tax, title, license, a couple of other bs state fees, extended 11 year bumper to bumper warrantee (no deductible includes oil changes). Be prepared to pay about 5k more over actual MSRP due to shortage. Everything mentioned 55k out the door. I'm very happy with my purchase. Mercedes, BMW, Toyota, Audi don't have half the upgrades. If this SUV had any of those emblems on it, I'm sure they would easily charge in the 80-90k price range. Highly recommend this SUV!!! LOVING IT.
Orange is the new red?
Thanks https://youtu.be/3FaRqOBjYxA
Weird criticisms this is a family car, not a race car. who cares about about how fast it can go, do you feel safe merging on to the highway… yes? then its perfectly fine.
The biggest advantage over the Tucson is that the Sportage has a volume knob. I will not be buying a car that has no volume knob.
Any news on the PHEV model ?
very good design
New battery 30000 euro hahahahahhaha
Never compare KIA with Mercedes if that is your taste go pay those insane prices. That was not very impressive to hear that comparison. Get over those other names ffs
