Who cares about vampires and werewolves! Let's talk about backstage romance! Kate Beckinsale and Michael Sheen (Lucien) had been together for 7 years before Underworld started production. Matter of fact it was Kate herself who suggested Sheen for the role of the Lycan leader. During filming however Kate and director Les Wiseman fell in love. They were married a year later. Soap opera! I guess the proper title of the film should be….

You HAVE to watch the 3rd one UNDERWORLD: Rise Of The Lycans 2009 to really understand the whole history of this movie. You will not regret it.

You and Carly need to watch Dog Soldiers. Such a good film. Some good violence, great jokes, really likable characters. It's got it all.
Welcome to the Underworld Universe! You have to at least watch the second one, Cassie. I like allnof them, myself, even though the forth and fifth get hate, but they flesh out the world more and complete Selene's story nicely. And honestly could open to a new chapter or age if you will.

Blade and Fly are both amazing films… for very different reasons. I really hope Fly wins lol. Blade should be on the treat pole.

I've always loved these movies. They go down in quality after three but those first three are fire. The director of this movie, Les Wiseman, started his career directing music videos for the metal band Megadeth. It shows in the visuals and choice of music.

I watched Underworld on DVD in 2004. I was 27, so I had watched many violent R rated action movies, but it was more gore and blood than I was used to. Seeing Kate Beckinsale play a vampire named Seline was interesting, as I was not famillar with her as an actor. I know she had done some romantic dramas, but I never watched any of those. I thought she looked good with that tight vinyl outfits though. She fired those guns quite well. I reconized Scott Speedman, because I too, watched Felicity on WB network.(It's CW now) It's such an odd movie! Werewolves vs. Vampires in a long standing "war" that goes back 600 years. I haven't watched it in over a decade. I could tell, you weren't doing okay with the gore and the blood. I avoid "horror" movies because of gore and blood, but this was an action movie as well. It's an odd mash up of supernatural elements and gun fights.
