A school bus carrying 44 students and teachers caught fire in Bangkok on October 1, leaving around 25 feared dead. Transport Minister Suriya Jungrungreangkit stated that many were unaccounted for. The bus, carrying 38 students and 6 teachers, crashed after a tire burst, igniting its compressed gas fuel tanks. Thai PM Paetongtarn Shinawatra confirmed fatalities and offered condolences, assuring government support for medical expenses.

It’s so sad that the teachers didn’t think of evacuating the bus with the children when the smoke started near the driver, for them not to be suffocated. Instead they all moved at the rear end where they were trapped when the fire went up.

This is the fault of using highly explosive Natural Gas as fuel for a vehicle. It should be banned from use in vehicles….this was basically a bomb on wheels. They never had a chance.
