Keep in mind that this is a psychological drama, not some action crap. Maybe I got bored at the beginning, but later, damn… With each scene, I started to realize what was hidden behind the joker, the man. That scene with Puddles make me goosebumps, really.
Last 20-30 minutes are a masterpiece..

I hate the wide spread sentiment that joker is an idea or mantle that can be taken up by anybody. I hear countless people defend Arthur's death in the end because "he's not THE joker he's A joker" in 95% of batman media the joker is an egotist, he has a definite personality and usually hates when anyone upstages him. What's the point of spending two movies following the story of the man who inspires a copycat in this universe. Even if you divorce this series from the batman mythos, it's still a unnecessary, sluggish, miserable watch.
