  1. Doesn’t this just insta kill in older formats where you use those lands that sacrifice upon entering play to search for a basic land?

    Like it sacs itself, goes to graveyard, and gets returned to play.

    You’d need the vinelasher otherwise you’d be stuck in an infinite loop.

  2. hedge shredder in smth like legacy four horsemen feels like it’d be so useless yet so enjoyable

    edit: I guess it beats extirpate if they hit your dread return with it? because you can untap next turn and probably cast emrakul? grasping at straws here lol

  3. I constantly see decks that run 3+ colours in various formats and I always wonder if it's possible to trim down the number of colours. You need Green for the ramp-from-graveyard and Black for the Vinelasher – is it possible to make this straight Golgari? Worth it?

  4. I'd like to see if Hedge Shredder would do well in like Historic with cards like Creeping Chill, Bloodghast, Prized Amalgam, Sticher's Supplier – just full on graveyard value.
