what if the keepers didn't really imprison Arkveld. It was assigned guardian for a bigger threat. The current generation of keepers didn't know what was happening and thought Arkveld raided their village but it's a warning that whatever that thing they're keeping has broken out, awakened even.

Lets be real, most hunters are not here for the story. I don't care about cry baby kid and his parents who got batman'd buy a white chain swainging monster. I just know I'm gonna hunt that monster, and it's next 10 bloodlines. Then I'm gonna find something bigger to hunt, until I've got the biggest hunting balls known to man. So give me big snake. And I'll give you its skull.
Tbh, I'd like it if arkveld becomes an avatar that gains the powers of the apex after slaying them than transforming into something again which is getting cliché tbh
Im thinking as he kills the apex predators, he becomes another alatreon that gains the four elements (fire, ice, thunder, water) and becomes a completely new black dragon that we have to fight. It will also give them a reason for white fatalis to come back as the equalizer that puts arkveld into place once he becomes a black dragon. And instead of dying, arkveld will just return to normal once he gets defeated by white fatalis
Now that I think about it, what if the monster known as the white wraith is just the base form of arkveld who hasn't gotten the four elements from the apexes yet, and the black equivalent of it will be arkveld completely having all the four elements of the apexes and becoming a black dragon

Whow..so that means i can have a gathering set with one weapon and a attack set with another weapon. I always found it time consuming to go back into a local with a diff set to gather. Now I can I always gather and swap weapon when I’m ready for a fight

Just being able to bring two weapons to the hunt is already a crazy power spike for the hunter imo. I actually wouldn't mind if skills like artillery would be deactivated once I switch from say a Gunlance to a Hammer mid hunt

I wonder is wilds is big enough that they are going to split off high rank in to its own dlc, kinda like what they do with master/g rank. That would explain the lack of elder dragons if we're only getting low rank.

I like the direction the bulls are going. It sounds like armor will be more focused on defense and QOL decorations while weapon and accessories get you the attack. I’m sure there will be crossover decorations but this seems like it will make for some really niche builds. It’s probably also going to help to look towards those different types of armor set bonuses too.

Look I really hope there some Elder Dragons in Wilds, it is not a MH game without them. I does not feel right to have Title updates wasted on Elders, when they could bring more fan favorites.
I hope that layered armor and weapons will be a thing on day one this time, instead of it being added months or even years later, or trickled in by tiny increments over time, please… just let us look the way we wanna look with the skills we need with our builds.
Especially if offensive skills will be on weapons only now or even partially, cos I can see it now, the game will be out for about a month or so maybe, and then the metas are gonna start rolling out, and we'll start seeing every… single… person using the same weapon with probably similar armor cos it will have the best slottage or stats or what have you, this is why more games need layered armor and weapons in the first place.
