Hellraiser was one of the only movies that I couldn't get through as a kid. Couldn't do it! The chains coming out of nowhere to rip you apart? uh uh, nope. Not as a 10 year old! lol I watched shit like Nightmare on Elm Street just about every weekend at my moms, don't get me wrong, Freddy absolutely ruled my childhood nightmares, but that's because I could actually get through it and see all the scary shit. Pinhead was just too much. That and there was this b movie about Jeffrey Dahmer and there's a scene where he's chopping up a victim (under a porch or something?) and he chops the dudes arm off and he bolts upright and is freaking out still alive. That one straight up made me cry. lol
After seeing the bad dragon ad, the theory about the male pregnancy fetish makes more sense

For anyone interested, the lady who bathed in peoples blood (specifically the blood of virgins, so that's fun) isn't Bloody Mary, she was an English Queen i the mid 1500's who was given that name essentially as a propaganda campaign by the protestants, I think he mean Elizabeth Bathory, a Hungarian noblewoman also in the mid 1500's and a real sick twist to boot… Though again, there's speculation that this may of been more propaganda campaign. really papa? you're gonna sit here and tell me the biggest disappointment in my horror enthusiast career is your favorite?! I'm not gonna lie, i really enjoy the story. The Premise is solid especially for the day off Halloween. but let me tell you when little 10 year old me wanted to have a marathon of the Michael Myers movies (ON HALLOWEEN NIGHT) and sat through the entire 1hr 39min of this just to be teased with a little Cameo of Michael… i was livid.

Just wondering if you're a fan of Kwaidon? It's one of my absolute favorite movies, it's a Japanese movie from the 60's. It's an anthology of very faithful retellings of various traditional Japanese ghost stories from the 1800's.
I know that you'd digg the hell out of it. It's a must watch for the spooky Samhein season. Also if you haven't watched Diabolique (if you love you some Alfred Hitchcock, you'd love Diabolique), The Girl with no Face, the OG "Innocents", "Curse of the Cat People" (this movie feels like the Halloween season)
If you enjoy silent movies, Haxen, The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari, and even though you've certainly already seen Nosferatu, but have you ever watched the Type O Negative version? Unbelievably good so say the me!
And even though it's not a horror movie, "In the Virgin Spring" it's genuinely unsettling dark and disturbing (the same director and some of the same actors in 'The 7th Seal"
For the somewhat more recent great Horror "The VVitch" and the"Light House" are superb. Another of my all time favorites"Pans Labyrinth" (fantasy horror) and the "Devils Backbone" from our boy Del Torro
If you're a Lovecraft lover "The Color out of Space" starring Nicholas Cage. And the HP Lovecraft historical society made a VERY faithful silent movie version of "The Call of Cthulhu" as well as a black and white version of "The Whisperer in the darkness"
On a side note the cartoon "Over the Garden Wall" channels the essence of classic Fall
Some of the best that I'm sure you're well acquainted with these ones, but they are actually frightening "Mulholland Drive" (or any David Lynch movie really) and "Jacobs Ladder" and there's no need to mention "The Shining". I didn't intend to make this comment as long as it is, but come on it's the season of Samhein and it would be cruel of me if I didn't attempt to share the scares with some poor wretch who's not familiar with any of those without the good fortune to have seen them yet.
