The prosecution in the Young Dolph trial gave its opening statement on Monday morning, claiming that the defendant, Justin Johnson, along with several others, was involved in the 2021 murder of Young Dolph. The state played shocking security footage showing the moment the defendant and an accomplice shot through a storefront to kill Young Dolph, whose real name was Adolph Thornton Jr.

Beloved rapper Young Dolph, real name was Adolph Thornton Jr., was shot and killed in Memphis, Tennessee back in November 2021. Several suspects have been charged in connection with his death. One of them, Justin Johnson, aka Straight Drop, faces trial for the murder of the rapper. If convicted, Johnson could face life in prison without the possibility of parole.
