  1. I do need to make special note that the company that handled porting & publishing Halls of Torment on mobile platforms used generative AI for their promotional images without the developers consent, so I would recommend only picking the game up on Steam.

  2. I'm pretty sure those ice fairies led you to that miniboss who dropped the Hating Heart. The lore book you read a few minutes later states "Only the ghostly lights deep in the frozen hollows may know where the Hating Heart is hidden."

  3. I think the lore book was trying to tell you the fairy lights would lead you to the Frost Giant with the Heart, but you stumbled into him pretty early so it seemed like they weren't going anywhere in particular.

If you ran this again, I wouldn't be surprised if they're supposed to give you hints to where he's hidden on the map.

  4. The books in each level Will guide you towards an item that will make the boss easier; there are multiple potions you can make including one that permanently banishes a trait selection; but you need to find the correct herbs; so keep that necklace on and run around

  5. My only issue with this game is it seems difficult to know what things apply to what attacks/stats/skills.. needs to be more obvious at a glance. Like show the stat increase or damage changes on hover or say what skill it applies to

    Example below:
I wish they just showed you like yes or no if it applies to anything you actively have (green), anything you or your Character could get in that situation ie area unique or combos you could do (yellow), less likely applicable (orange) like you don't have gear on or skills or wrong area, simply not possible or doesn't matter for that character (red)..

  6. Some tips!:
-You can now check the variations of the same talent with right click (for example weapon proficiency, dedication, or ability upgrades might have 2-3 different versions per-level and you can only pick ONE). It can be good to see what you wanna pick up, or even if you wanna "forget" an entire branch out of the pool (banish-like potion effect)
-When you get potions, there's one that "locks" skills, this one lets you pick BOTH options of a specific talent on the same tier! For example, you find Weapon proficiency V (whatever) and lock it, keep it locked, when you find Weapon proficiency (something), pick it, THEN pick the "whatever", now you double dipped and got both effects. You can even triple-dip if you use another potion to duplicate the effects of one of them (so you get 2x "something" and also "whatever"), stuff like that… it gets complicated but it's the best you can do to min-max ♥
-Reminder, abilities can get upgrades once you have picked their tier 3 / tier 6 versions, so get those tiers before picking more scrolls if you don't want different skills, and instead wish to fortify the ones you have. Currently the game even shows you with a little chevron (empty if the upgrade is available, filled if you already picked up the upgrade!)

The way this game lets you manage and direct your build is INCREDIBLE, it is very complex but it basically makes good potion managing into getting specifically the upgrades you want an almost guarantee. You just need to learn the way it works… and make no mistakes mid run LOL (which isn't easy either)

-Every level has some "secret" item hidden in the level that helps you defeat the boss much easier. Don't know yet the effect of half of them, but in my experience there's usually some book to give hints near the spawn. On this frozen level you saw the book hinting at "following the wisps", for example.

  7. It starts slow at first, but once you get into it, it's extremely satisfying combining bonuses and buffs, some of the "weaker" classes I initially dismissed for being too wierd can turn out to become late game damage machines

oh, and Radiant Aura is, as expected, extremely powerful

  8. The lights were leading you to the mini-boss who dropped the "Hating Heart", you will notice that at 44:20 onwards the heart would beat and stun the boss for a few seconds. The book told you how to find that heart, follow the lights. So it's a semi-hidden mechanic to make the boss fight easier.

  9. Thanks for another awesome vid, Wander!

I picked up this game after watching one of the first videos you did on it and I DO NOT regret it. Here's to hoping that the devs keep up the fantastic job they've done so far 🙂

  10. Before goint to Agony mode i would suggest to get all the poitions at first. Those give you the ability to banish thinkgs you don´t want for the run and much more.
Also don´t underestimate Aura. It has an upgrade which can apply burning . I had it when i did the 80 burning stack quest. Give it range, attack speed and potential, dmg is useless when you want stacks.
