  1. Strange hearing about police trying to solve crimes. These days you get the impression that finding bodies in a wall would spark an online manhunt for anyone swapping skeleton memes, including a hotline for anyone suffering 'anxiety' from the drop in local house prices.🙄

  2. An excellent reason for abolishing the death penalty everywhere. Police incompetence continues to be a huge factor in imposing the death penalty on completely innocent people. There have been books written that show that fully 50% of people who confess to murdering someone are actually a close family member and they are lying about it out of guilt. Thank you for the great story and remembering why we don't have a death penalty anymore in every civilized country on earth

  3. Christie was a War Reserve Special Constable during WWII. He was never a full time Police Constable; there is a difference. Neither was he "medically trained" (he claimed he was a doctor to some people); all he had was a basic first aid training.

  4. Heard this story before but it was just about John and what he did, love how you told it with more information on Timothy and his family, the victims are more important to learn about in my opinion, great job!!

  5. Mr Ballen,
I watched, "What I saw in my room still haunts me," when you first posted it. I remember watching most of your stories about the navy seal's, until Youtube took them down and I miss those videos. You have a good gift of keeping people engaged when telling a story. Great to see your success continue to grow. You are the best story teller I have ever come across.

  6. This is such a sad story and it's true. Humans are indeed the most evil creatures on earth. It has always amazed me how manipulative sociopaths a d psychopaths are. Especially of the serial killer genre. I'm sure someday we'll discover a gene or brain mutation that shows us how they can kill people without remorse, but I hardly think it's relevant, because people know right from wrong, and we know serial killers know this too. They just don't care and most of them think their smarter than the police so they won't get caught. Certainly over centuries many killers have gone free and gone to their graves without paying a price. But that is where I believe their so called luck changes. I believe each of us had to answer to God, those who've committed evil on earth pay for it later. This knowledge is the only thing that has kept me looking towards the good in our world. I know that we all have to account for our sins someday. I try my best to do good because it helps balance out the bad in the world. A small good deed has a huge impact for the better. I'm so glad Timothy got a pardon even though it was after his death, because his family members were probably still alive and it impacted them. It seems as though while poor they were a close and caring family, as Timothy got medical treatment and lived with his family after he was married. So I'm sure all this was devastating to them. The pardon was a good thing but Timothy's death was not. Before we accuse someone of something we should know the facts. My aunt Ruth always said whenever you point a finger at someone you have four finger pointing back at yourself. I always thought that great advise and though she's in heaven now her words came to me as I listened to this story. I wish all of you a wonderful life and God Bless you. Thank you again Mr. Ballen for a wonderful story.

  8. Just for comparison the video says timothys iq was estimated to be 60-70…Forrest Gump was supposed to have an iq of 75. I understand hes just a character in a movie but i assume the writers and director would have tried to make the number as realistic as possible and match his behavior. Only a real dirtbag would take advantage of someone like that
