To answer your question, Rob, if you start something, make sure you finish it, or transition it into something else.
It's bigger than that as Arrako & Krakoa used to be one island called Okkara it's implied that the Island was an Eternal but something caused deviation to occur Apocalypse severed part of the island not realizing that is what he was fighting believing these deviant creatures were demons of some kind, by preventing the spread to Krakoa it remains an Eternal which is why Druig was prevented from attacking the Island with Eternal technology. IMO, The Eternals flee Okkara after one of the Eternals triggers deviation in the island hoping the Island would mutate them into a form that could reproduce but this deviation somehow goes very wrong leading the Eternals to build The Great Machine which duplicates what Okkara provided for them.
Any chance we'll get a a MODOK beyond Omega?
I think it makes sense. Always thought deviants needed more. And it helps with the MCU I think too. Making them more useful to show why X-men exist

So I was watching an injustice 2 video on Facebook the other day and it was about how the fash could beat pretty much beat everyone on the roster because his speed but a huge argument broke out about who would win Scarlett witch or the flash some say he could just blitz her, others say she warp the reality before that. Question for all you comic book fans. Broadly speaking, do you ever get bored with the plots of big character stories when there is a decent chance that everything will revert back to normal or the character who dies will come back to life, or the big character fight ends with people walking away from each other? I realize that there are plot points that stick, but in the main universe of the comic, it's really hard to do something too crazy for too long. If Thanos kills the Marvel Universe, well, then Marvel doesn't have its iconic characters to continue making them money (at least the main marvel continuity versions). Not a huge critic of comics or fiction in general. Just something I thought I'd ask to this group of fans. And yes, I realize I'm over simplifying the nuance of decades of plots, but it's a YouTube comments section 🙂

28:30 I don’t know if you’ve already read this by the time the video’s uploaded, but in Genis-Vell: Captain Marvel, Thanos shows up alive again at the end of the first issue. An alien even mentions that they thought Thanos was dead.
About time the eternals getting more recognition I would love to see Thanos vs Gilgamesh or Hyperion tho would be a great fight nd I'm surprise Hyperion is recognize as a eternal but don't interact with them smh

What if Krakoa itself is just one giant ancient Deviant who somehow inherited the X Gene? With 2 sources of mutation that would explain how a Mutant can be ab island.
I kind had a feeling that Deviants, Mutants, and Inhumans would be lumped together because they share so many similarities. Not saying that's how it should be, but the more I review all of them as a whole, it sort of makes sense instead of having to explain the differences.

Wasnt it always implied that humans crossed with deviants??? That is how evolution works, diversification of genes and mutate? It isnt a retcon so much as a further explanantion by logical means.

considering the history of the X-Men comics and their relationship with things like civil rights….. isn't saying that the mutants are, objectively speaking, "deviants" kinda messed up?
It's like so many other things. Thanos is super powerful. Then a writer just does away with him like he is nothing. They really need someone with some power to stop writes from either overpowering or underpowering characters. It's already messed up how someone beats up everyone and then some C level person beats them.
It's bad enough they create these people to powerful to use. Then the next time you see them they are no longer what they were. Thor, Hulk. a lot of others.

i'm just here to listen to Rob, because he's awesome. but story-wise, i'm not touching this whole event with a 10 foot pole. it's just poorly written. lots of inconsistencies. and nothing is remotely convincing. basically everything after hickman's run, most of the writers have been doing so bad in my opinion. and some known writers are getting some hit and miss, like benjamin percy on x-force is ok but not on the others. and now if you find out how uranos deals with legion.. ugh. also the forced lgbtq+ agendas.. rachel summers? sorry. marvel comics needs the same thanos snap that DC is currently getting

This had some pretty interesting bits. That crazy Destructorite distraction. 😄 Sprite taking Starbrand their security system "offline" to go play. 🤣 The Eternals and Avengers mid-fight, then oh crap gotta save the world and both sides stand down (aside from Thor and Ajak). And what struck me most was Thanos, who is so powerful but truly dangerous because he's strategic and intelligent, being killed by a traitorous snake who could never battle him, but instead outsmarted him. 😯 Nice.
