The term "guerrilla warfare" was coined in the context of the Peninsular War when the Spanish local forces were fighting against the Napoleonic French forces. The Spanish word guerrilla is the diminutive form of guerra ("war"); hence, "little war". Arthur Wellesley adopted the term "guerrilla" into English from Spanish usage in 1809. Also, the type of small unit fighting "Guerilla Warfare" against large invading forces goes farther back in time too.
Sad that humans put all the resources and effort into killing each other instead of trying to help humanity be better.
