  1. Thats not how it works, kid. If you play a COMPETITIVE game in a way that it was CLEARLY NOT intended to be played, then you are in trouble. Blizzard has made this clear since Day 1.

What you are saying is like saying “If someone leaves something behind, then that its their fault and you are allowed to just take it.”

  2. I prefer to get the real satisfaction of beating raid bosses the normal way through hard work and team work. Blizzard can track you and they will ban you if you cheat so I just don't cheat. I got over 300,000 gold just farming while i play as a miner/herbalist

  3. in this video you will find a guy making excuses for other's exploit, because said guy did a hundred times worse in the past.
the "oh you can't stop people cheating so let's just let them" argument is just so fucking stupid and it's a efficient way to portrait yourself as the cheater

  4. People use the term 'exploit' differently. If it's something anyone can do using tools in the game then it's Blizzard's fault and they should fix the game. If they're using tools outside of the game to do it then yeah, ban them.

  5. Isnt the race to world 1st essentially a speed run? Who cares if the 1.0 version had an exploit . Bliz should have fixed it before they were able to clear. If they cleared it before they new about it, they win

  6. Ok look at it this way, the text basically reads "when your target reachs # of stacks, explode stacks" he is using a @focus macro, I understand that this is probably not intended but it was a neat way to well beat the system. everyone in rwf abuses bugs, because why wouldnt you? I think thing that are more time gated like rep shouldnt be bannable, but punishable, but things like this where everyone can do it shouldnt be punishable at all. Everyone saying they actively tried to hide it, they aren't trying to hide it from blizzard, they are trying to hide it from echo and method. Its a fucking race, why give out secrets that give you an advantage?

Exploits are a touchy subject. For example. tfue in fornite, i think the most well know exploit he used was hoping through walls, everyone could do this easily. It created a bigger skill gap and isnt that what competitive games are about? (or at least competitive modes) Unless its game breaking and actually like one tapping a boss of giving you a free win button, then I think its on the devs to fix it, and move on.

  7. 3:45 I mean, sure. But this is such a hollow statement. The players are still the ones making these weakauras. These are arguably the best WoW raiders available to play so DPS rotations aren't a defining factor. The defining factor is figuring out the mechanics, and making them so difficult you need to develop and use Weakauras is what makes it a challenge.

Now whether or not that is good is something else, but saying WAs make the game too easy is just dumb.

Like Asmon says, remove the addons and you can make the game 'less difficult' by design.

  8. "it's just a game" well it's not, it is their job… you may not care but THEY do and sponsors do so maybe be calm with stupid takes like that. I dont care either, but I can use brain that it is not some random ass raider but legit competition for money.

and no, blizz wouldnt design it better, there is reason addons like this came AFTER they made shit job. another delusion take. but who cares anyways

  9. It’s blizzards fault. Blizzard cheated if you want to be technical. That had an unfair advantage – a game beta that was being tested by the players for FREE saving them millions in employee pay for that testing position. They were informed about this bug multiple times and neglected to fix it. So at that point the player is free to use it objectively.

  10. Focus target has been in the game since day1 and personally I use it all the time as tank or healer but usually not as DPS.

This just a bug, who gives a shit. Someone at blizzard designed the encounter and is probably a DPS main. Healer mains would know of focus target.

  11. No…they should not get banned . If anything Blizzard should actually make proper releases of patches and games and not broken messes . Did they find an exploit? GOOD! Let them use it! I have stopped played wow since Shadowlands and I was ana ctice player since vanilla but I grew tired of Blizzard (and other companies) releasing broken patches and games.

  12. The guy increasing his damage with those stacks doesn't do it for me. It still took them ages to kill that boss because it wasn't dependent on the one mage. Mythic to me is far more about positioning and evading boss attacks and soaking dots and whatnot to survive. If there was an exploit that makes you invincible to those, letting you to just stand there carefree, then I'd have more of an issue, but one mage increasing his damage more than is allegedly allowed? It hardly made a difference on the boss.

  13. 1: it wasn't an exploit it was a bug… like every other class and spec in the game is riddled with
2: it got patched and they got the kill with him playing sunfury doing MORE damage. so.. whatever

he did not bypass game mechanics by using external resources. he literally made macros which is an in game feature. he didn't multi box, he didn't run a script, he didn't create a weak aura to do it for him. its a macro. thus a BUG not an exploit. also, gave no competitive advantage since they didn't kill the boss AND it got hotfixed AND he pumped harder on sunfury even still on the kill. legit a non issue. the whole of arcane consumes 3x NP from 2 charges becasue of a bug. the whole spec is a bug

  14. I don't understand why would anyone be expected to not abuse exploits in raids when playing competitively. You can roll back their progress and explicitly announce that it isn't allowed but banning anyone over blizzards fuck up is ridiculous.
