  1. I never understood the people that complaint when someone reacts to something with pauses and commentary. If you want to watch the trailer uninterrupted, then go watch the trailer directly u_u

  3. Oh my god, how did I miss that Bloomtown was coming out tomorrow!?!? I loved the demo. It's like Stranger Things Persona. Suddenly so hype (and still angry about everything going on with Palworld. Heartbreaking, honestly.)

  4. I kind think if Nintendo sue palworld for other than patent this is not going to be this big.

Like sueing it because tredmark, copyright atc. That just say "you to similar to us pliss change your model."

Yeh however if Nintendo win we can say good bye to all throwing item to catch a creature. No mater what the game is.

  5. If Nintendo wins on any of the patents it will leave the creature capture genre ion a knife's edge or in shambles. The fact that the Pokémon Company didn't come up with the monster catching idea and didn't have a patent on the poke ball until around the end of the last year I wonder what patents they are going to try and claim the Palworld infringed on.

  6. It's quite ironic that Pokémon is simultaneously the biggest inspiration for Monster Taming/Catching and the biggest obstacle for the genre to grow.

Its one of the reasons I simply hate Pokémon now they are just running a money printer, and they soak up too much attention for other games to grow. Combine that with this malcious lawsuit, it's gonna be harder for the genre to grow.

  7. It's kind of amazing how people were all up in arms about Palworld's similar designs (and they still think that Nintendo is suing them over that, or glad that Nintendo is suing them anyway just because they copied designs) when other games like Nexomon or Coromon also have very similar designs and mechanics to Pokemon.

Meanwhile SMT had monster catching before Pokemon, and a lot of Pokemon designs come from Dragon Quest.

Honestly if Nintendo wins this that means that monster-catching games will start becoming a monopoly of Nintendo.

  8. Something about Tomomon's art was reminding me of RSE and then the ad got to the bases–immediately on the wishlist, it's like the lovechild of Palworld and RSE. XD

Speaking of Palworld, even if nintendo wins the BS lawsuit, they've lost fan goodwill; this is just another nasty thing they've done in a year full of nasty swipes at the fans, and even if they retain the Japanese market (which they are from the sounds of it), they're losing the greater western market. Which is pretty impressive because with how western games are going the audience was migrating towards the eastern market–by doing this they've ensured that westerners pass them over for their competition. Nice job breaking it, nintendo. X'D

  9. So I really find it funny, people talk about "it's so stupid, how the pals don't even fight, it's just algorithm in the background, bad clone anyways". Imo wildcard should've been the first for a case, since the game it's closest to was ark survival evolved, just for a broader audience with Zelda sounds. If they sued over the sound, okay. I love Pokemon, I really do, but I hope they get silenced here

  10. Nintendo filed one of those patents months AFTER Palworld launched and is now suing them for supposed 'infringement'. This is a dangerous claim Nintendo is betting on. If they win, expect a rush of companies to attempt patents on any mechanics that they see any other developer using or creating, and threatening to sue if they don't pay up.

  11. I've heard people say the patent suit is less about the patent itself and more because it's easier to persue than plagiarism claims, but take that with a grain of salt (Given we hardly have any information on the situation).

  12. Damn, yet another new game in jeopardy due to Nintendo's broad and vague patent JP7545191B1 that says:

"In a first mode, the aiming direction within the virtual space is determined based on a second operation input, and based on a third operation input, the player character is caused to fire an item that affects a field character placed on a field in the virtual space in the aiming direction; in a second mode, the aiming direction is determined based on the second operation input, and based on the third operation input, the player character is caused to fire a combat character that will engage in combat in the aiming direction."

Right now is not a good time to be a Monster Catching, Collecting and Taming game developer and studio because of the whole Palword situation.

  13. Really wish Tomomon does well in sales so the devs can port it to consoles and I hope we get more info regarding the palworld lawsuit soon since I’m really hoping Nintendo doesn’t win using universal gaming mechanic
