I hate when people talk like Pompeii was the only city destroyed by Mt. Vesuvius! Herculaneum faced the exact same fate as Pompeii, only a few days later. Everyone conveniently forgets Herculaneum. And it really bugs me!! I understand that this program is about Pompeii, but still some mention should be made!!
15:57 "action" supposed to be edited out lol
Ahh, the city of perversion in the Nation that burned Jerusalem and carried away Jewish captives 9 years earlier in 70ad. As you study history. Any Nation who's moral value has diminished usually suffers judgement. It's a shame history is so repetitive.
This dude looks like Indiana Jones.
I was stationed there for 3 yrs and loved the history of Naples and Pompeii .
History is one of my favorite subjects. I am taking classes at the college to understand the working of one of these magnificent events. I am 71, so I can take classes for free! The only bad thing that I can’t any credits unless I pay up front. We’ll have to see 🤗💥
Hey History, can we get The Guns that Built America? PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Why don't you ask one of those people at Pompeii who's frozen into position, if they feel like a threat to the planet this week"
-George Carlin
Why didn't the Romans leave before the eruption? Maybe their leader told them that the volcano won't erupt, it'll just blow some smoke and just go away, don't listen to the scientist, they're just "fake news"…
🏔 🤔 ??? (( 🌋 ))
Interesting 💕👵
I forgot about hunky archeologist Josh Bernstein. I used to like watching his videos to get history information and a cheap thrill.
I’d love to go visit. I’m too afraid of it though.
As soon as he mentioned 35000 yrs ago. I knew he was deceived about the age of the earth so stopped watching one lie leads to another.
Volcano! 🌋🌋🌋
Whatever happened to Josh Bernstein and his TV show? Or better yet whatever happened to the History Channel?
The story of Pompeii used to scare my dad when he was a kid lol

Maybe the people who lived there did leave, and the paupers who had never seen the insides of these places walked in.

While it is true that the Stromboli volcano has erupted many times and is constantly active with minor eruptions, (often visible from many points on the island and from the surrounding sea, giving rise to the island's nickname "Lighthouse of the Mediterranean,") it is not the most active.
The most recent major eruption was on 13 April 2009.
That honor goes to Kilauea, on Hawaii's Big Island. Which has been erupting since 1983, making it the most active volcano in the world.
You sure that surprised face isn't because the person was hit by something hot?
