  1. WOW! Well done! The revenge is 100% realistic, and when you think about it, necessary. Left alive, the Chenoo species would be a perpetual threat to humanity, as they choose to exterminate other sapient races rather than get to know and become friends with them.

  2. Delicious. Simply superb. The second part of this story should be short and sweet. Basically a short montage of how the planet was restored, the build up of the human fleet, the fall of all the alien worlds. Then finally taking them out of stasis to watch their home planet be destroyed. Though I don't know how that would look like… Maybe a planet cracker or turning their home start into a sta-layzer or just a good old fashioned glassing of the planet or orbital bombardment. I don't know but i like this writer. Can't wait to the next chapter. 😊

  3. I honestly find this story unpalatable… It just leaves an unpleasant feeling behind. Humanity reduced to vengeful exterminators flipping the table and becoming the monsters the universe assumed they'd be. The whole element of Relo feeling compassion and guilt… for nothing. This is just revenge porn. Nothing more. There's nothing magnificent in this. I am feeling no FY with regard to this H. Props to the excellent performance of the story. That's where this channel shines. Unfortunately, I kept waiting for a payoff that never came. The Humans never proved themselves better than the Chenoo, only more hardy. A tapeworm can be hardy.

  4. Oh, we NEED this story to be continued…. And, I think in the end, after using the technology in the ship, etc. to restore earth, Rello needs to see some human compassion, and come to understand that the humans had no desire to hurt them in the first instance, and perhaps she could become an advocate for stopping this evil practice after living on earth. I also wonder what other uses the humans could put that sun blocking shield to, perhaps terraforming Venus, or Mars?

  5. I'm not very deep into this genre, but I've seen enough to understand there are some really good, isolated tales driven by character, with engaging, thought-provoking themes and moments of understanding…. surrounded by a whole poopflood of tripe about humans being able to throw baseballs or something.

This story is one of the former, and your excellent reading and versatile voice gave it some really beautiful life. Thanks for giving my morning a refreshing start. Truly. 🙂

  6. Probably humans find the solution in digging deep hole and Power it by nuclear bomb and shoot a 10 ton cover in space like in 20 century when they testing atom bomb after atom bomb and fast capture camera shoot only one picture becouse the cover of the hole fly that fast up
(i seen documentary about it on history Channel and now I can't find it)

  7. That was actually a very nicely written story. And nicely narrated. Kudos to the author and this channel. Wish there was more to this story and more good content around. It is sadly pretty scarce.

  8. What you can't hear/see is one of the soldiers bringing out a music player at around 38:06, they click play, and "Hello Zepp" starts playing from it. Nobody on the ship will get the significance of that song, but they'll do it all the same as it was the final request of one of their ancestors.

  9. Also usually short stories are just that, and they end, but I really would like to know where it goes from here. What's the galaxy like as they rebuild earth and reverse engineer the exterminators technology. A good revenge story is well worth it.

  10. This is really good!!! – but they missed ONE thing that would have made it epic.

Really and Grunz seem really focused on "predators" as a signal for being a non-person and having no rights – so that should have been the thing used to destroy them emotionally/mentally.

Afterall, humans might be omnivores, but relatively we live in equilibrium with the environment. Meanwhile the Chinoo are plant-killing devourers. They kill whole worlds to feed themselves and expand. How can they NOT be called "Predators"? They're a predatory species surpassing all others!

If "predator" is their greatest insult/fear, then revealing that they are the greatest predatory species of all time and that humans are actually saving the rest of the universe from the REAL monster predators, would have been EXQUISITE!!!!

  11. I'm not sure what to make of this. There is no palpable tension. Nothing is forged in the crucible of battle. Nothing spreads like wildfire across the galaxy. But most shocking of all, the humans are resilient! If we allow such writing, surely the Internet will unravel. This kind of writing, these high-quality, well-written, unsettling stories with intersting characters and plots … this writing must be banned!
