I don't find Bill's and Beatrix's relationship all that strange. I mean, it IS crazy as only a movie relationship can be, but it makes sense feelings-wise.
Love and hate are two sides of the same coin after all, and when the heart gets wounded and humiliated, love can sour and turn to hate. Both Bill and Beatrix are pretty intense characters from a personality perspective and people used to inflicting harm and violence without second thoughts. When Bill says that there are consequences to breaking the heart of a murderous bastard like him, he is telling the truth and openly exposing his own feelings. The two characters likely never stopped loving and hating each other and trying to murder Beatrix was a choice that imposed consequences. Bill knew it and – not being a coward – he faced them.
What I find most interesting about this movie is that up to the last 30 minutes or so, it appears to be a comic-like story about vengence just to take an unexpected turn at the very end, thus proving to be Tarantino's twisted version of a tragic love story. And that's what actually turns it from a potentially forgettable action movie into an interesting work, able to stand the test of time.
If you remember the song at the beginning of the first movie, the lyrics went, "Bang-bang, my baby shot me down.".

Can't wait til you guys get to Death Proof. One of my personal faves of Tarantino's. Shout out to Gordon Liu for also playing Pai Mei in this part.
Truth serum can refer to multiple drugs used to try to get the "truth" from people. The most popular and most effective is sodium pentothal. It is real. The guy who plays Bill was the lead on a tv show in the 70's called "Kung Fu" and the follow-up series "Kung Fu: The Legend Continues" in the 90's. The funny part is how honest and honorable he was and how deliberate his fighting style was. That makes him the perfect villain for the idea of the Kill Bill series. The 70's show may be a bit too much for you guys to handle, but you should definitely check out Kung Fu: The Legend Continues. I used to watch it with my grandpa who watched the original.

Just a super small editing nitpick for future videos to avoid when you can ! Your round face profiles on this one, got over the subtitles on somewhat important moments when the interesting Pai-Mei training/discussions begun and the guy was talking chinese to our protagonist. Made it tough to understand.

I agree about subtitles. I guess they have to make the subtitles PG in general. Personally, I prefer watching reactions with no subtitles because they take away from the dramatic pauses of actors' delivering their lines. But most people want them, so . . .

Bill is the best villain bc he’s so calm and zen. Yet he’s unpredictable and has zero qualms with being violent and killing
You obviously have your subtitles set to child mode so that no actual words show up to shock children. That would be the reason it changed the term for a woman's private area to sorehead!

Bill played by the great David Carradine who was in the 1970's TV hit show Kung Fu. Kung Fu was originally to star Bruce Lee who actually came up with the idea but the studio did not want an Asian for the role, sign of the times.
Hi Guys, too many comments to read to see if someone already corrected you.. soooooooo… that car was NOT a thunderbird. THAT was a Firebird. All in all, good reaction. However, I've noticed something in a LOT of the older films you're reacting to that I wish you'd take care of. You didn't see the Original Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2. You reacted to a sanitized version that's playing on one of the streaming services. PLEASE STOP doing that. If you're going to react to ANY r Rated film, please, I'm begging you. Go find an original DVD from ANYWHERE. Wal-Mart, Amazon, etc. You'll both enjoy them more, you'll always gets the foreign language subtitles, and WE will enjoy them more.

In the theatrical release (and I think it's on the DVD), during the "Goodnight Moon" segment of the closing credits, you saw the list of the Deadly Vipers one last time. Each actor's name was crossed out… but Daryl Hannah's name had a large question mark in front of it. The audience went "ooh!" when that happened.
Sadly, they took that part out, now that it's on a streaming service. No idea why.

So guys Uma was actually driving in some parts because she had a bad car accident in that scene. She felt Quentin made her do a stunt that she already thought was unsafe. Because of that the two had a huge falling out and haven't worked together since.
If ya didn't know Kill Bill was initially supposed to be one movie but they didn't know how to market a 4 hour movie, so Quentin had to go with Vol 1 and Vol 2 released a year apart.
There has always been the rumor that Vol3 would be Vernita Green's daughter Nikkia, all grown up and looking for revenge on Beatrix. She would possibly be trained by Elle Driver who although having no eyes, is still alive and also looking for revenge on Beatrix. But that's just rumors. It probably will never happen.
Also if you guys are doing all Tatarantino movies please include True Romance. He wrote the screenplay, but did not direct. Thank you guys for all you do. Look forward to the next one. Peace ✌️

Pai Mei is played by Martial Arts Legend Gordon Liu. He also played the leader of the Crazy 88's, General Johnny Mo (Bald Head and Kato Mask). Another Actor who played 2 roles was Michael Parks who played the Texas Ranger with all the sunglasses in his Patrol Car in Part 1 and the Pimp Estaban in Part 2. When Beatrix tried to hit Pai Mei with a rock he threatened to chop off her arm. He lets her keep her arm but says that it belongs to him now. So during the fight between Beatrix and Elle, Pai Mei's "arm" snatched Elle's eye. I love Bill's Superman speech during the truth serum session.
