There were no issues with her daughter. She was just fearful of Homelander doing something to her which led her to inject Zoe with compound V at the end of last season.
You guys should watch Gen V because there are certain characters and plot points from Gen V that are important for season 4

Everyone's saying you need to have seen Gen V, but I don't think that's true because I didn't watch all of Gen V. I only watched the first 3 episodes. All you need to do is watch someone give a recap of all of Gen V and you'll understand what's happened.
I don't remember Annie sounding so slurry in past seasons. In this season it sounds like she has a speech impediment.

No spoilers… you guys must have just forgot but we saw Newman dose her daughter in the previous season. Remember she gave homelander the locations of his son and homelander gave Newman a dose of the real formula to make her daughter a superhero. There was the scene where Newman and her daughter are in her room at night and Newman injects her daughter who starts screaming in pain.

So, as far as the Daughter goes, Vikkie wanted to protect her from Homelander. If she was going to be working with him, and possibly against him, she needed to make sure her kid has some sort of protection. So at the end of last season, she ended up giving her daughter "V" and giving her powers. Last episode was the first time we got to see what her powers are.
