My 9 year old nephew is named Owen. My sister thought it was a unique and nice name at the time. Now, it’s a gen alpha EXTREMELY common name. He always has another Owen or 3 in his classes and sports teams. It’s like millennial Jake, Josh, Mike, Chris, or Andrew. She kind of hates it now but oh well.

I find the surrogate story so interesting. In Germany it's illegal and viewed (by many people, but certainly not all) as unethical, so the behavior of the woman would be totally expected, it's the reason it's not allowed here, and the parents would get heat for using a person as an incubator and then not understanding that kind of hell they put her through by actually taking her child. It's a controversial topic, I have seen people argue in favor or against it, but I never really thought about the fact that in other countries you actually just do that.
