The story was… rough. A little over the top on human's relation with weapons. We aren't like that now…
The names also grated on me. Ambassador Riker… Star Trek Next Gen? Admiral Janway… Voyager much? Babylon Station… Babylon 5 TV series? Just a few name changes would have really helped. Basically, any other names. One of these would be okay, but those three being used just killed it so much right there.
