At this point, the only aspect of the franchise that still piques my interest is the engineers' home world and their society. The predators, Xenomorphs of various kinds, and everything in between have become old and repetitive. I didn’t even have the patience to sit through Romulus—summaries on x1.5 speed were enough for me.
I mean my guess was if the people on planet 4 were engineers, then david destroyed them because they were thoroughly unimpressive. I mean we all think they were underwhelming 😂

The engineer and Human relationship is literally like a kid engineer who tried to make an ant Colony in an aquarium box, didnt like what he saw, and pour a bucket of water to drown them. some ants survived, and he tried to take a bottle of pesticide to kill them but accidentally sprayed his eyes/mouth and died. The ants then walked on the pesticide residuals and walked into the kitchen, touched some food and killed the whole household.
Engineers created human minds life. Who created them? Who created animals? Who created the planets?
It has already been debunked on if David created the Xenomorph in a directo interview.

Should have just let Scott and Spaihts produce a standalone trilogy exploring the mythos of the engineers AND THEN tie it into the Alien franchise towards the end. It'd have been a rewarding revelation for the audience and not built up everyone's expectations going in.

I hate how this is playing out, don't know if it's studio meddling or bad box office sales and negative reviews or what but Scott should have stuck to his vision and finished the story he wanted to tell. A lot of great, bloated-budget, high-dollar actor horror films are panned when released and become beloved cult classics later on while horrible, cheap movies make a fortune and non-stop, horrible, cheap sequels.

learning about prometheus/alien lore makes me feel like a scientist kkme shaw discovering clues to make more sense of what the movies are about, i also love more theory stuff about relations between our religion, philosophy and history which served as inspiration for these movies

they way i see it is that was their home world, it is described as "paradise" so they probably get any resources they would ever need from the ones seeding the universe. . The second set of Engineers we see in Prometheus probably found the properties of the Black Substance and used it to enhance their DNA for long space exploration hence why they have black eyeballs, along with being in space for millions of years they dont look like they once did.
The more I learn, the more I become lost 😂 there’s so much. More than I could ever imagine going on!

You think EXACTLY the way i think when it comes to the prequels. I loved them. In fact, i loved ALL the movies. I also loved the comics. You deserve A LOT more subscribers. Honestly, i was thinking about starting an ALIEN podcast, and i would love to team up with you on it. But i'm no one and i don't even have any vids. But i know its just a pipe dream. Interesting theories but i don't think David has a God complex and i don't think he has a conscience at all. He is probably programmed by the Weyland since the begining to protect humanity and to develop bioweapons for the company.
The only thing is that he was not programmed to obey the 3 law of robotics, like mainly all androids in the Alien franchise. That's why he experiments on humans without limits and thats why he infects Holloway in Prometheus and experiments on Shaw. It's all a research and developement program set up by the Weyland-Yutani to recreate the perfect organism.
Btw remember how Vickers burns Holloway without hesitation ? I think she knew and i think the engineer who waked up from his cryo pod guessed too, and that's why he tried to wipe out humanity. Humans tried to open to wrong Pandora Box. Sure there is this Jesus nonsens story in the script but remember everyone Alien is a story therefore it can be written and rewritten to fit the narrative. There is references to the Alien universe on Avatar's early scripts so…
For the extermination of "engineers" on Planet 4 i see one plausible explanation. If you had to program an AI what would be the top priority orders you would give her ? "Protect us/me, protect the humans/the company".
From the moment David sees his creator killed, he does what a Terminator robot like programmed to protect his master would do. He analyzes a treat, then does everything necessary to eleminate this treat. This might be the reason why David's first destination is an engineer's homeworld after the events of Prometheus. First job was to discover the creators of humanity (that's why he appeared so friendly when he first saw the engineer of Prometheus), second job is to wipe them all after they appeared to be the biggest treat for humanity. He then tries to create a bioweapon for the company. And the fact that he was about to experiment on the entire crew of the USCSS Covenant's crew DOES NOT necessarily mean he is not still programmed to obey humanity/Weyland-Yutani's rules. Remember what Ash did to Rippley in the name of the company ?
The Alien franchise is about aliens, androids, but above all it's about how far the humanity can go in its cruelty for its own interests. Sacrificing entire ship crew like the Nostromo ect. We are the real monsters here not even the Xeno lol. So it wouldn't be surprising if David remains a puppet. This theory goes along with Kroft's one when he says that David is the Space Jockey btw. Sacrificing himself after finishing his last robot job which is to create the perfect organism.

It's nice to see you discarded Alien Romulus and instead continue making videos about Prometheus and Covenant which are more interesting. I would like to know what happened to LV-223, the planet in Covenant, Deacon, mystery of the black goo, what happened to David and Daniels. Romulus brought nothing new to the franchise. Bunch of teens trapped in a space ship full of xenomorphs. Boring.

Thank you for clearing up a misunderstanding I had concerning David's aberrant behavior. I assumed that David had been programed in a "traditional" manner avoiding the manifestations of the more unpleasant human aspects. Being an advanced form of AI he could learn, manifest a persona, but be able to dodge the toxic idiosyncrasies of highly developed personalities. Your supposition that David contains elements of Weyland's personality, (along with Weyland's personality disorders), seems to indicate that beyond traditional programing David has been "imbued" somehow beyond normal methods. Of course, I appreciate that this is a photo-play and you can't have an engaging villain who's evil is hard wired in. Then they are merely a malfunctioning machine, boring. However, humans being extremely psychophysiology complex could we ever pull someone's, anyone's, psyche and implant it with any reasonable guarantee that we would not be creating a future mental patient?

When David shows up the super up close shot of his finger and thumb on the black goo, are the triangles on his fingerprint to show he's a specific ai robot and ID? I just realized that his thumbprint is probably a special effect, or latex piece.😂 In addition, that's an amazing detail!
I disagree that David hates humans as he represents the perfect human. Able to learn skills a human would take a life time instantly. He loves our music and customs. He was loyal to his creator but on his death he went from an apprentice to King of the Universe. He knows humans have traits that make us great and others are pure evil, as a god he wants to make the perfect organism, but as he never dies the title of God will never be given away to anyone. Humans are his greatest threat. He didn't kill engineers he killed the Engineers creation (A creation where ppl lived in harmony with themselves and nature) making humans and himself superior and greater gods. The Engineers look like a DNA modified race.
I hope the engineers return for the future of the Alien franchise, in series, films and comics games. There's no way they're all dead, they must have colonies on other planets just like humans. I hope they show more of their advanced technology in a much better way than Prometheus and Covenant, In the concept art and original script for Prometheus or Alien: Engineers, the Engineers' technology is described as something so advanced that it seems like magic. Will we have any explanations as to why that space jockey was bigger than the other engineers?
