The Bayville High thing was so weird, while it makes sense on a certain immersion level, I have to question any narrative's focus that takes place at the Xavier school and features young mutants yet chooses to divide the narrative between another school that isn't even an existing location of interest like Empire State University or Emma Frost's Massachusetts Academy. Why not make the Xavier School itself rich enough to sustain the whole narrative. While the og series is king for me, I prefer 'Wolverine and' to 'Evolution' overall, but they both have enjoyable angles.

I never watched the original X-men animated series, but I did watch this, and I was just thinking about rewatching it, was glad to see this pop up when I searched it. This is a great animated series.

I loved xmen evolution! I remember watching it as a kid on Saturday morning and then re-watching it later my freshmen year highschool as they added each episode (one a week on Mondays) to marvels website.
X-Men Evolution was aired for many years here in Brazil, and it's said that it have made more success here than in the US

I like that X-Men TAS ‘threw us into the deep end’. We’re entering a big universe and seeing the X-Men as Jubilee sees them. Like sure, TAS is inconsistent with certain story threads (they clearly just worked with what they had and retconned stuff) but im glad that TAS and Spodey TAS didnt dumb it down for us kids. It didnt underestimate us. It let us figure it out or be curious on wanting to know more.
Star Wars started as just Star Wars. It threw out concepts like ‘jedi’ and ‘clone wars’ at a time when there was no Episode 4. We did just fine getting the gist and understanding that story. I prefer it this way.

It was an amazing show. It was clearly for teenagers of late 90s – early 00s. me and my friends loved it and associated with its characters (my best friend was basically Toad minus smell and robbery haha)
