  1. I want to try to answer the most common questions I'm seeing here. I hope this helps people, and I'm sorry I forgot to include these details in the video itself.

    1. I chose scarlet drills over tin drills because of personal habit. I'm used to using scarlet drills. Tin drills work just fine.
    2. The conveyor belt/table saw system is specifically designed to avoid overflow. you'll never fill up your table saws this way, and you're making them at 4x the speed.
    3. the electricity generator is there because the lever alone isn't enough to power everything, AND I want the table saws to continue to do their thing, even if I turn off the wood farm. The generator there allows me to flip the switch, disable the farm but continue to process planks.

    4. This is the big one….why do I let the main root trunk grow before planting the other seeds? This is difficult without a visual aid, and I had a hard time making one in photoshop which is why I didn't have it in the video. Wood will grow up to 5 tiles away from the root along its trunk. Lets say I put down the side roots at the same time. Root 3 happens to grow a piece of wood that isn't connected to the main trunk yet, there's a 1 tile gap. We now have 2 trunks, and if they merge they are still 2 trunks. Seed 2 is trying to grow along the main trunk but it hits the trunk for seed 3 and it can't grow beyond that, so now seed 2 just stops growing. Having 1 trunk going down the entire length of the farm gives all the side roots a single trunk to grow down, guaranteeing they all spawn at the same spot and that they all continue to grow.

  2. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Everything grows initially as it should, but the last 3 rows are the only ones that grow up more than a block or two. Every other row either won't grow at all, or only produces one or 2 logs. By the time the last 3 rows had been fully grown all the way to the drill, the other rows still hadn't moved beyond that. Everything is done exactly as the video shows.

  3. If you are intending to use planks to generate money, I recommend making Gleam Wood Farms, as they seem to generate wood at a 50% faster rate than other woods, additionally, I find I love using Gleam wood floor tiles and walls in my base building, so that helps too.

  4. this might be a bug in the game but I built 2 of the exact same farm you built, one for coral and the other for wood, waited for all the roots to grow the line of wood, then when I checked the coral grew just like normal but when I checked the wood, all of them grow as well except the first to from the right? replanted them didn't work, replaced all the dirt and it still doesn't work. the root itself grows to it's fullest but doesn't produce any wood

  5. if using too many tiles is too expensive when starting out, digging holes or laying sand tiles between the wood roots also manipulates where they grow without losing too much resources

  6. Not seeing anyone else asking this but is the drills not spitting out the wood behind them a common bug? Mine are just piling up in front of the drills, this isn't a huge issue as I can just run around and gather but something is wrong for sure.

  7. Hey I know this might sound a little silly but if you do any future build guides would you be able to put a material list in the video description? I hate having to go to specific parts in the vid just to see exactly what I need haha. Great video though man I appreciate the work you put in to this project!

  8. Cool video I am new player. Very helpful. One issue for me two of my columns won't continue growing for some reason… youtube won't let me post a picture, of course…

Any ideas why those two stopped?

I know they aren't going to grow because I've gone through 4 sets of other crops in this time. Maybe I need to dig those two up and replant? I replanted them and they grew 2 spots again and stopped 🙁
