This game was played on: Quest 3

It’s the Fourth of July, and Gotham City is under attack by a new threat: the mysterious Rat King and his cultish devotees. As widespread rioting engulfs the city, Batman races to prevent this so-called “Day of Wrath” before it all goes wrong.

  1. I think this looks great, but I’m scared it will have the problem that games like assassins creed nexus has. Those games are great, but have the problem that they sometimes feel like flatscreen games with motion controls. Like instead of the combat being physics based or made for the Vr it’s made differently. However I’m sure it will be fine anyway.

  2. To me, the general graphics look very solid, but the HUD/GUI design looks crap. It sticks out like a sore thumb and some of the icons look just bad and like some crappy Flash or budget indie game made by amateurs or whatever, like the blue lightning one for when to swing around to defend against an off-screen enemy. It's really at its worst during the combat imo, where it starts to look really tacky and very patently gamey, totally ruining my suspension of disbelief. The aesthetic design of the HUD/GUI stuff just lets the rest of the visual quality down imo, and even more so in VR where you want the least amount of immersion breaking as possible. I really have a problem with so many HUDs/GUIs in modern games, and it's a shame it's an issue again here. They need to at least do a second pass on this, and if they can't make it look better for launch, I hope they patch the game later with some stuff that looks far more worthy of being in a Batman game. Make it look like it's actually the kind of real stuff you'd see in an actual Batman heads up display built into his mask on some proper digital/holographic visor or whatever. Or, please, just give us an option to turn all that junk off and let me properly get immersed in the game. And, if not, then, please, someone hack this game at some point and allow for that option.

  3. The Jay guy was legit the only one i have never seen of those vr youtubers 😂 its funny he really went «you prob already know who i am» lol why did he do that when he is like the smallest YouTuber there. So awkward.

  4. One of the devs mentioned things they wanted to incorporate in Iron Man 2, I wonder if we will be getting a sequel to Iron Man VR? Btw, Wolf, if you ever make it out to Seattle/Bellevue again hit me up and I’ll buy you a beer…

  5. Wonderful coverage! The developers seem very passionate about this project with how they approached solving problems like "punching across the room". I am eager to play it myself! 🦇 Honest feedback for the camera man, focus on who is talking – to see the body language and emotion of the speaker is important. It was a little awkward sometimes 😅

  6. Very important question especially for the Batman nerds… What are the three Batman books on the coffee table, and did they mention them as being of any particular significance for the game. The way these guys leave Easter eggs… I'm wanting to go read them all right now!

  7. This video makes me super hyped for this game. The marketing they've done for it, starting with a teaser, then a cinematic story trailer, then a gameplay trailer and now these demos, this has been a brilliant marketing technique. I think it has really helped to build the hype. I can't wait.

  8. I do still hope you can combat how you want cause the way it looks like it forces you into certain combos looks kind of less free which is the one think i would want from a vr fighting game. Not expecting blade and sorcery combat but still would like more free combat not necessarily even physics based

  9. Seems like a good game…stop big opengame – finally, quality vs quantity of useless stuff – here you have stealth , interesint combat system with different style.. seems not too complex to navigate i like im more interested in the ride , story etc… like today i have a hard time going back to witcher 3 while i have less issue with gta5 , or readdead or just more linear games cause im too tired of the « collecting bread » and whatnot , the grinding and going around trying to find something.. especially in vr..
