  1. Well. I can't believed that Kamala supporting Israel. Saying Israel have the right to defend itself. That is not truth. Palestinians dying, many of them. From Israel. Who defend the Palestinians ? Palestinians under control by Israel. USA support and protect a international criminal law breaker .. Israel

  2. I'm not an American, so all the "aren't we wonderful?" BS, I can see through. Roughly half of you can't stand this woman.

That said, she didn't miss and hit the wall on the stuff that matters. She is correct on the gravity of the situation. On what is at stake, for the USA and its allies.

I really hope her confidence in her fellow Americans is not misplaced. She really is the only sensible, moral choice available for President.

Please – if you really are as wonderful as you think you are – vote her into office.

Remember how unrepresentative your voting system is, and don't fail yourselves as you did in 2016.

  6. It honestly just sounded like a bunch of slamming trump. I know that's the "goal", but i would've loved to hear her actually talk about the issues of the economy and stuff that matters to everyday Americans. Not all this culture war bs. That's just me.

  7. She won't do a debate or real interview because she is afraid she will be exposed for what she is, just like Biden was during his most recent debate. Kamala Harris is a phony candidate propped up by a Democratic Party machine. She owns every one of Biden's failures and horrible policies, but they want us to believe she isn't the vice-president now. The empress has no clothes.

  8. Ask Hillary if I’m lying. As a woman running for the presidency, Kamala is going to face criticisms, attacks, comments, and musings about artifacts of her womanhood. Her laugh comes to mind. In the sung words of Mavis Staples, anyone who takes that tact will, “go out the world – backwards – the same way they first came here.”

As a Black man in America, I have what they call “real world experience” in those kinds of attacks. I can see it for what it is, point it out, and I can empathize.

What I can’t do is lay back if I see Kamala doing something that lessens her chances of success. By the way, I’m aware of the fact that I’m taking unearned liberties by referring to Vice President Harris by her first name – I respect her, donated to her campaign, and will vote for her (again). Proper respect is given. Kamala is a person who is rising and growing as a professional. If she was in corporate America, she’d be on her way to the C-suite from modest beginnings in some cubicle.

There is one thing that she does that could cost her this race. It is an element of style. Style! Not substance. I shouldn’t care, except that she’s running for president, not vice president, precisely because of style and apparently Democrats and the media care more about style than substance.

    Ask Joe if I’m lying.

Style. How you look and appear when responding to questions. Your bearing. How strong you appear. Confidence. Do you look presidential? Do you sound strong?

Go back and watch Kamala’s convention speech. Better still, turn away from the screen and LISTEN to it. Kamala has a serious public speaking fault. For context, there are many applications for public speaking. A person delivering a talk about options for cooling servers needs a different speaking skill set than a person trying to save souls in a church.

When attempting to persuade an audience, Kamala’s voice goes up in pitch and it takes on a kind of plaintive, begging tone. Her voice takes on a timbre that is a close cousin to whining. Go back and listen to her speech and tell me I’m lying.

In terms of vocal tone, you could substitute her urgings made in that speech about the need to defeat Trump with the sound produced by a teenager begging a parent to use the car past 11PM. That tone is not only annoying, it projects weakness and that can be a serious liability in a close race. It’s also easily corrected. It’s just a skill that is learned.

“In an America where we look out for one another….where we recognize we have so much more in common….”

I cringed when I heard her sound like that. That tone of voice has a subtext: “Please, I’m begging you.” Or, “why don’t people understand, why, why, why?”

Contrast that with Sheila Jackson Lee, or even Hillary. Or, Barbara Jordan, Alexandra, Thatcher, I could name women all day who have that skill, whether by training or naturally acquired. The skill, or technique is straightforward: When making a persuasive statement, your pitch should hunt its way downward, not up. That conveys confidence and sureness. Your throat should be open. In that passage, and in other points in the speech, Kamala’s throat is the opposite of open and it conveys tension, begging, and vexation.

Imagine Biden modulating his voice like that. You can’t. Listen to Barack when he’s making a persuasive argument. Let’s be clear, having a basso profundo voice is not necessarily an advantage (unless you’re in the media or movies), but Barack’s instrument is so open he can go into that gritty, whispering kind of tone that makes people lean forward and EF Hutton on his rap. He also tells jokes which I strongly encourage Kamala’s writers to use more of.

None of this is rocket science, and I’m no expert. I know as fact that image is everything in our elections and I think that if you asked undecided voters who would be win on “strength” this kind of speaking delivery is not helping Kamala. If she sounded this whiny in a meeting with Putin, I’d start pouring concrete on my bomb shelter.

Of course, if we don’t really believe what we’re speaking about, if there’s no core connection between our feelings and spoken words, no amount of technique will help. At a certain level people can go into that tone –that whiny plaintive cry for understanding – because they’re seemingly trying to convince themselves of what they’re saying.

Kamala is a gifted speaker and I could never walk out on that convention floor and handle business like she did. That’s not the point.

My pitch would go down if I said this: The point is she can do even better.

  9. Curious. How come Kamala doesn't start fixing things now? Why wait until after the election? In fact, why didn't she and Biden start fixing things these past four years? Wake up people. A Harris Presidency means FOUR more years of failures.

  11. She has shown who she is. That's why nobody voted for her in the primary's in 2020 and had to drop out of the race. All of her staff have quit except like 2. 😂
